To start, our server was absolutely positively lovely. She is the only reason this experience was not completely ruined. I ordered the ribeye, blue.... as I am an extremely picky with the temperature of my I decided to let it slide that it was warm all the way through when I sliced into middle of it to check temp. I then tasted two bites of the steak. Hoping that maybe the first bite was just a bad tough and underseasoned section. The second was just as bad tasting, but not as tough. The steak was completely under seasoned, no salt, not even fresh ground pepper, no garlic, no butter, ect.... it was not marbled well. I then told my server at the end of the meal that the steak was lacking in flavor. She sent out one of the rudest managers I have ever had the displeasure of coming into contact with. This older white woman proceeds to tell me that she cannot comp nor replace the steak with salt added. Stating that their steaks are cut too well to need seasoning... and then stated that thier steaks cost too much to be taken off. I didn't not even ask to have the entire meal comped as I ate my potato and soup and offered to pay for those separately. She then offered to box up the steak that I sent back after forcing us to pay for something that was not eaten due to the lack of seasoning and proper cooking. Of course, I did not take the steak as I would rather leave hungry than deal with trying to stomach the worst steak I have ever had sat in front of me. The manager was given ample opportunity to correct this experience, but refused. I hope in the future a lesson in customer service is given...

Came in for a beer and a bite. Got told we couldn't sit at the completely open bar for a beer while we wait. Reason given for why we can have a beer at the bar is because "the kitchen is backed up". Explain to me how the beer is affected by the kitchen being backed up?!

Update in Response to Owner: Wrong! You were not "slammed". Our party and at least 3 other parties of 3 or more, all left at the same time, for the exact same reason. There ended up being more people going to the local Pizza Hut, then spending money at your establishment. We asked the staff at the front desk of our hotel about your place and they said that they have been hearing the same thing from guests since you opened.

You still didn't explain how you have a bar, but you won't pour a beer for waiting guests because "the kitchen is backed up.". If you had served your waiting guests drinks in the bar, you'd have at least sold 1-2 drinks to each of the 12 guest that I saw leave and decide to give up on what could have been a good meal and experince, just to go and spend their money at national chain. My family always looks to support local businesses first, but in this case, Pizza Hut was a far better experience.

You CAN & SHOULD do BETTER! YOU (the owner) ARE THE REASON YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE MISSING OUT ON TIPS & WHY YOU'LL CONTINUE TO BE SHORT STAFFED (which is why the kitchen is backed up, not because of the volume of guests). Your guests and employees deserve better! Your employees should be looking for employment at another restaurant and leave you to lay (& lie) in the hole you're digging for...

First of all Don’t stop there for food!!! We ordered our food and waited 30 mins for it. They brought cold hard biscuits to our table while we were waiting, oh this might be a long review but it will be worth reading! Finally our food arrived! My son ordered chili cheese fries. Chili was Luke warm and the cheese wasn’t even melted, the hottest part of that dish was the container it was in! I ordered a hamburger and baked potatoe, the hamburger was small, over cooked and looked petrified. Now the review gets more interesting! I did complain to the person who told us she was the owner, joke, she informed me that don’t serve cold food in other words I’m a liar!! So after not eating a bite of this food, we decided to leave, guess what they chased us outside and called the police on us!!!!! The owner stood outside like a prison guard till the police officer arrived, a female owner to boot while her husband waited inside. The police officer showed up and looked like he was barely out of junior high, but was very cordial and listened to our side of the story needless to say we paid for food we didn’t touch as we both did not want to spend the night in jail however the food would probably been better! Owners could use some customer service skills or perhaps just change profession to prison guard! When food isn’t right or customers are unhappy you fix!! That’s how the rest of the world works! Needless to say we went to bed hungry and got the hell out...

I ordered the Dirt Road Tacos, as steak. I would have done one each beef, chicken, and steak but unfortunately that's not allowed. However, I will not complain about being told that's not an option. The steak used in the tacos was excellent, even cooked all the way it was still juicy and tender. The provided toppings on the side were all good too, the guac had a good flavor, the cheese shreds tasted like cheddar, the sour cream was smooth, and the salsa has a kick that doesn't overpower the flavor. The chips and salsa that came with them were nicely salted and the same salsa as the tacos. The service was great, I went on a Thursday night while staying in a nearby hotel at 6:44pm, and even with the warning about wait times due to understaffing I was seated quickly, had my food ordered, served, and paid by 7:20pm. My only complaint is that some of the ceiling lights are a bit harsh but that's only a problem for seats by the kitchen area.

Great service, good food quality, but fell short in a few areas. Our server was GREAT! She was genuinely friendly and worked hard to provide the best service. The onion rings tasted good but we felt it was a poor value for the price as photo shows what we got for around $6.50. The salads were fresh, we got tasty complimentary biscuits, and an excellent burger. The 12 oz ribeye steak was average, cooked to order but it was a little tough and under seasoned. Our daughter was disappointed that the fry bread tacos were not available. The food took quite a long time to arrive and we would have enjoyed a beer while we waited but they didn’t serve alcohol. Sign said they were awaiting a liquor license but seemed that odd for a steak house. Overall it wasn’t bad, but didn’t quite meet our expectations.

Horrible food and even worse service. It took 10 minutes waiting at the bar the even be acknowledged (after I had been seated there by the “manager”). Once I got my to go food, the Chicken fried steak was over cooked and burnt. Not really edible. They forgot one of my side orders so I had to go back and get that. Portions are small on the sides. The manager did not handle the situation in any kind of professional way at all. I am honestly not sure how she is qualified to run a restaurant. I was passing through and stayed at the best western next door. On my future trips I will skip this town all together because the experience at Stone Creek was that bad. Do yourself a favor and stay away. I don’t see how this place is still in business.
