I've been seeing Mikhail for personal training once a week for 7 weeks now. I started changing my diet at the beginning of this year and finally decided to take it to the next level and start working out, but I've never been a good self motivator when it comes to working out. Mikhail is a great solution for that. He met me where I was at and challenges me incrementally to provide me with steady improvement. He works with any limitations you may have at the moment, which eradicated some weird fear I had of being handled by some kind of drill Sargent persona. My body is definitely changing, getting stronger, slimmer. Stairs are easier, hikes are easier.. I work as an electrician and I work with my arms in the air constantly... that's become much easier as well. And it's all thanks to Mikhail's help. I'm still not good at being a self motivator, but with Mikhail helping to keep me accountable in my baby steps phase, I hope that one day I'm able to turn that around. I look forward to continuing my workouts with him.
Also, I tried one of his group classes and it's a great workout. When I'm ready (still amping myself up lol) I'll be switching to his hybrid plan of unlimited group classes + 1 personal training session per week.
Cons: scheduling personal training sessions are on the booksy platform, and only allows you to schedule 2 weeks ahead of time. If you have an inflexible schedule, you have to stay on top of scheduling yourself in at exactly (to the minute) 2 weeks ahead. This leaves room for you to miss your preferred slot if someone else beats you to it. The platform also does not inform you if he isn't taking appointments on certain days (ie holidays). All of this can be worked around (make up sessions etc), but it's not ideal for someone with a very rigid schedule.

The professionalism, knowledge and kindness of Coach Seril is unmatched. I look forward to my sessions each week and can see results and improvement in my strength. I appreciate how personalized my workouts are and positive encouragement of where I am in my journey.
The drop in group classes are such a bonus to build community and continue to keep yourself accountable with all the work you are doing with personal training. Coach plays great music and the circuit program is awesome. All the weights are laid out for your level ahead of arriving and coach is keeping a constant eye to make sure everyone is safe, having fun and working hard!
The studio is very clean, organized and has well kept high quality equipment. In the summer months, the AC is cranked up to make sure the you are cool! Always water and towels ready as a nice amenity and perfectly clean restroom. I like the large tall and bright room for group fitness. The space is great and thoughtfully laid out.
I would suggest Skyway Strength for anyone looking for a personalized program with a group fitness opportunity that cannot stand the big box gyms. I am so lucky to find Coach Seril and join this incredible community that is changing my health...
   Read moreI started coming to Skyway Strength about three months ago and honestly it's been one of my best investments for myself. For years, I've struggled going to your typical LA Fitness type gyms and needed to shake things up. I decided to try out Skyway Strength so I signed up for the Group Circuit classes led by Coach Mikhail. Coach Mikhail does an amazing job motivating and bringing the best out of you during the workouts. He understands when to push you during the workouts and what your limits are. He offers a morning and evening workout class Monday through Friday (and occasional weekend classes) for the Group Circuits. Each class session is about a hour long and every session has a different set of exercises so the classes never feel stale. Honestly, one of the more surprising things about Skyway Strength is the community of people that attend Skyway Strength. Everyone is very friendly and really encouraging.
Coach Mikhail also offers 1-on-1 personal training sessions if group workouts aren't your thing. I highly recommend working out at Skyway Strength. Fun and challenging sessions that change every time you attend, an awesome Coach, great vibes and amazing community of people.
