The waterfall is nice! The water is cold but mostly shallow. The deepest section came up to my knees (I am 5'6). I suggest wearing water shoes because everywhere is rocky. Also, there is only natural rocky railing on the sides of the water. So you mostly move in the open with the water's light current. It's easy to slip.

I do not like that people were having a picnic in front of the restricted area [right in front of the waterfall]. I wish it was more reinforced to prevent pollution and eco disturbance. I picked up a lot of trash. There are NO trash cans on the trail nor the parking lot.

Getting to the waterfall requires an extremely steep and narrow walk down uneven stairs made of rock and wood. Not every section has railing for support. Be mindful for those with restricted movement. For those who aren't physically able to go down, there is a section to overlook the waterfall.

The waterfall is fairly large, maybe 60 feet, with various water falling out in sections.

I got bit once by a mosquito on my knee and I was wearing bug spray.

As far as parking, there are about 10 spots directly in front of the trail. It was a Sunday and we waited 30 minutes for a spot. We went mid day. We left after 5pm and only 2 spots were open.

For dog owners, please clean up your dog's poop! And in general bring a trash bag. Not cool to litter. It's a beautiful place. Let's keep...

The main machine falls loop is a modest hike for the average American. If you struggle with climbing up very steep climbs then I highly recommend staying to the left on the machine falls white loop. You will be climbing down on the steepest part of the hike and coming back is not nearly as steep. If, however you are fit and want a bit of a challenge then stay to the right and you will be challenged coming back up that steep part. No matter your skill level the falls are worth the effort!! Just be very patient with everybody else taking photos. It really takes a lot of patience and a whole lot of extra time to wait around for the perfect panorma shot!! Be careful about the parking. There are only about 20 parking spots and the area is patrolled by local police, you will get a parking ticket if not parked in a parking spot. Every place that is not a parking spot is marked clearly as no parking!! There is a sign that says to come back if all the parking spots are taken. This is really disappointing especially for people who have been driving all day just to see...

Machine Falls is truly a treasure for all nature lovers. Its picturesque beauty paired with an easy hiking trail makes it an ideal spot for everyone, including children. For those just dipping their toes into the world of hiking, this place serves as a perfect starting point.

The trail is not strenuous, making it a relaxed, enjoyable journey through nature. The falls themselves are a magnificent sight and provide an excellent backdrop for memorable photos.

However, as we revel in the natural beauty that Machine Falls offers, it's important to remember our responsibility to the environment. Please ensure you pick up after yourself, leaving nothing but footprints. This small act contributes significantly to preserving the splendor of the area for future visitors. Highly recommended for a...
