I'm in the process of purchasing a new home and just wanted the septic system inspected and camera-scoped to check for any potential issues prior to closing & to have overall peace of mind.

Admittedly, I had initially called a different company, but after having to go through a multi-level phone menu, I decided to look elsewhere and found Pipe Dreams. I gave them a call and Tyler answered, took the time to listen, and booked me for the inspection just 2 days later.

I had the privilege of meeting Tyler and his wife at the prospective property, and was enthusiastically met with a vibrant personality and a demeanor that wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. Tyler walked me through everything that he was checking out, even showed me the camera as he scoped the pipe, took the time to answer & explain questions I had about the different parts of the septic system, and ended with him offering recommendations to include a write-up detailing everything discussed.

Once I close on the house I'll be following up with Pipe Dreams again to carry out their recommendations, and outside of that, they'll always be my first call for anything septic/plumbing related.

Tyler is amazing. After being given the runaround by a “local” company that is operated by an out of state call center, I gave Pipe Dreams Sewer & Drain a call after being referred by another local contractor who didn’t specialize in what my situation warranted.

From the moment he answered the phone, Tyler was able to put my mind at ease despite the stress of the situation. After confirming the appointment he showed up in the time frame he gave me and quickly got to work.

He was professional from start to finish and was so courteous that he wouldn’t even walk in my house with his boots on and instead chose to work in my basement in his socks, despite the fact that it’s the middle of winter! It’s little things like that in which you can measure the integrity of a man, and it’s plain to see that Tyler is the real deal.

He performed a quick and thorough auger job to clear out any blockages in my main sewer line and then performed a visual inspection with a snake camera, allowing me to watch as he sent the camera down the line all the way to the town sewer main.

Upon satisfactory inspection he gave me several low cost recommendations on how to maintain my drains to minimize instances like the one I was currently dealing with and also gave a recommendation for replacement of sections of the main line in the future. Not once did he try to upsell me just to make a buck.

Our float alarm went off at the house and we weren’t really sure what was going on. Having zero experience or knowledge with any of the components of our septic system, we started to worry and weren’t sure what the next steps were. When we called Tyler and explained the situation, he was on his way to another job and came to us right after - the same day. He was incredibly empathetic when he arrived and was very thorough in investigating the issue. He returned the next day and installed a new pump. He also went through and taught us about our system, how it works and how to maintain it. On top of that he went down to our mound systems and checked those to make sure there were no issues at no additional charge. Needing someone in an urgent situation as a homeowner can be stressful because you know it comes with a price tag. Most contractors you meet in these situations lack the most important thing: empathy.
