Where do I start? I've lived here for only two years and have already seen four different managers come threw this place, now i've read all of the other reviews, and I can confirm them all, the good and the bad. All of the managers have been horrible, while some meant well, never the less they were BAD. the most current manager Vanessa (1-21-14) seems promising but if history has anything to say, she'll be gone before long. The last manager Stan, was fired because of his misconduct with female tenants. It also believed Stan stole a substantial amour of money from the father of one of my roommates. who sent Stan a check to help out his son (my roommate) with the bills and food. that leads me to my next issue. i live in the 6 bedroom apartments. there is one roommate who the rest of us dislike very much, this roommate will eat everyones food, use there razors, soap, won't flush the toilet, doesn't contribute to cleanness, doesn't go to school despite the fact this is "student housing." the 5 of us have asked for him to be moved, management has yet to do anything about it, even after the troubled roommate asked to be moved as well, NOTHING WAS DONE. this has been an ongoing issue for the last 5 months, and projects to be an issue well into the future. MORE ISSUES: internet NEVER works, over the last 2 years it has never worked, an issue for students who's homework is largely online these days, not to mention its promised by Campus Park. the pool is rarely open, the parking lot is always littered with cigarette butts and trash from all the pot smoking D-bags the seem to call campus park there home. (yes theres lots of pot and other drugs found here, you get to know the local PD well regardless if your involved or not.) myself and 2 of my roommates as well as many other tenants that I've chatted with have become victims of thieves since moving in. Walls/floor/ceiling are so thin I can here the upstairs/ downstairs neighbors riding there skate boards up and down the hallway, and "making love" to their girl friends. (I think girlfriends, you never know in this town.) Alcohol of any type is not allowed despite the fact that 5/6 of us are over well over 21. Campus Park frowns upon having any type of firearm, as a service member and someone with a degree in law enforcement i am still treated as if I'm a child who has no idea what the heck I'm doing. I will give credit where due, rent is cheapest i can find, and most utilities are included. we're located directly across the street from CSI so you can walk to class. Maintenance and the assistant managers are hard workers and are on the ball. Over all however, this place is a train wreak and I can't wait to get the heck...
Read moreThis place was absolutely HORRIBLE! We have lived in very nice homes and needed a place while we built our home. We have always gotten our full deposit back. This time Samantha (manager) tried to take not only our deposit, but also our rent, that was unlawfully taken from our account, after we had moved out. The apartment was not inspected before we moved in, they just gave us the keys, I knew this because they left tools and the unfilled out inspection sheet on my counter. There were issues, but we never said anything about most because we thought that was their standard. I had to ask for MONTHS to get our dishwasher fixed. Finally, they replaced it. They tried to charge us for a handful of things that once we discussed it they realized that it was unfair. Thankfully the regional manager was there when we discussed this. I have video footage of the whole situation. Samantha is extremely deceptive and will say one thing, but do another. DO NOT trust what she says. We haven't lived there for over a year, however as a student at CSI, I still hear the awful experiences students continue to have with this place. Although I wasn't in student housing, several students have told me horror story after horror story about how management treats them. Things like threatening to tow their car if they don't attend a mandatory meeting, fining students if their apartments aren't perfectly clean. Demanding money for small repairs on the spot, walking in their apartment without notice on more than one occasion. I hope this review will save any person thinking about moving here the hassle and stress this manager puts on people. I do have to say my experience with the corporate company wasn't terrible. I feel like they made things right and gave us the benefit of the doubt. I do think they need to reconsider who they are putting in charge of their facility and the way she is...
Read moreI've been putting off writing a review about this place cause I had mostly a pleasant experience currently living here at least for the first year. The management keeps in contact with thier tenets for any questions or concerns, maintenance requests are always fulfilled as long as you specify thoroughly of what needs attention. The apartment unit is always kept to code, looks good as long as you keep it clean and stay on top of the monthly cleaning requirements, and beds aren't super soft but manageable. That was all the positives and now the reason I give the review a three star, the roommates are never certain who you will be sharing the place with and the same goes for the neighbors. You'll either get people who tends to themselves or random weirdos, some nights if lucky are quiet while others are filled with partying tenants or someone who wanted to make a whole meal after 11pm or throughout the night. I confess I'm guilty of making food late at night since I work an afternoon shift but I do my best to keep any sound to a minimum, can't say the same for other people. Blenders would be heard in the mornings for that daily protein drink, doors slamming, some chit chatter, and random cellphone noises. If you live with boys expect nothing to be clean, that includes counters, floors, sinks and dishwasher full of dirty dishes, bathrooms, and the fridge, I dare not think of the bedrooms. Only time anything is clean is when management announced they are doing their monthly cleaning inspections, than it's back to a dirty apartment. There's always on option of switching to a different unit but unless you have cash for the transfer fee you'll be stuck with who you share the place with, good location for people on a budget or college students but be sure you have friends you'll refer to live with. Point is the apartments are great but good luck getting...
