Unethical billing practices — I received a bill in the mail for a summer class on the day it was due. Either payment in full was demanded, or a submitted payment plan (with an added $50 fee) was due, or I was to be dropped due to non-payment three days later. I called the billing office to ask why this was acceptable and I was met with a regurgitation of CSI policy about billing for classes. The person on the phone admitted that CSI sent the bills out late.
I felt the need to share my experience with the public because I believe it is unethical to expect payment from people hours after notification when more time is usually given. Just an FYI/Buyer Beware for future students...
Read moreThis is a mixed bag. I have to give CSI a 5 star rating on their staff and faculty. Everyone I've encountered in my classes and different buildings has been super nice and helpful. Also the campus is gorgeous, and my family and I love walking here. That said, I give them a 0 star rating on community safety. They have no mask policy and students and staff are not required to wear masks. We are in the middle of a pandemic, and Idaho is one of the hardest hit states in the country. CSI is doing nothing about it. As a student, I feel unsafe in my classes where almost all students are unmasked and many of them are coughing and hacking....

Cheap tuition, small class sizes, and just about all my teachers were extremely knowledgeable and professional in their classrooms but knew when to be authentic as well. My only complaints are mainly what you'll get on every other college campus. A bad professor here and there, internet goes down a few times a semester, due to the size scheduling especially for non-traditional or full-time students can be difficult.
