I dropped off a FedEx pkg. on Feb 25th. I made a purchase while waiting for another cashier to do the FedEx transaction because the chatty blonde cashier didn't know how to. I was almost home, and I live in the Gun Lake area about an hour from the Dollar General store when I received a phone call from the store cashier that I had forgotten my merchandise that i purchased. I told her I couldn't drive back and wouldn't be able to go back until the 25th of March. She said they would hold it for me. I asked her if she could just return it to my card, and she said no, they needed my card. They did have the receipt, which was in the bag. She said the only reason they were able to call me was because I had given my number when I made the FedEx transaction. I stopped in on the 18th of March. Both cashiers that were there said there was nothing there for me, and they had no clue what I was talking about. She was rude to me and ignored me while she had a conversation with another customer. I then asked her to contact her manager. Which she was hesitant to do. She said we get scams like this all the time, and I told her I had proof that I was there from the FedEx receipt and the incoming call from their store along with transaction proof from my bank statement on said day. She messaged her manager, Ben. He said he'd call me Sunday. I asked her to let me talk to him, and she would not let me talk to him while I was there. This could have been resolved while I was there. The manager, Ben, did call me on Sunday like I was told, and I explained to him what happened he also said it could have been resolved that day. He apologized and said he would make it right and send me a gift card tomorrow. He asked for my address, and it's been 2 weeks. The manager, Ben, never kept his word, but they kept my merchandise and money, which I have a bank statement that there was a transaction made on said day and it's not the amount of the purchase but the principle that they denied making this right. I was lied to by the Dollar General employees. I'm disappointed in the way these Dollar General employees treated me, and they are not...
Read moreRebecca the manager keeps letting her daughter and customers steal as she’s ringing up customers. Every time I’m in line she’s always talking it up with family or friends as if there’s not a line down that horrible diaper aisle and pretends to be oblivious to people walking out with chips or gallons of milk while her daughter stocks up on some phone chargers…right out the door with the alarm going off. As if that wasn’t bad enough she clearly has booze scented Altoids in her mouth at all times or she’s constantly drunk because that’s all I encounter from her initial sloppy scan of my products to the slurred “have a great day” I can hardly make out as she fumbles to hand me the receipt. I must also add that She fails to let any fedex driver know about inbound and outbound packages… I’ve been waiting for a week now on a call back from her with a resolution and her cashiers seem to be clueless as to who she even is. “I’ve never even met rebecca” one cashier replied. This has happened not only to me but to other local residents this past week alone that keep emailing me about this situation. I have also received replies from a local fedex facility claiming they have attempted to reach her but no avail after I gave them info about the situation regarding fedex packages. The current staff always looks unhappy and it’s clear it’s been trickling down from her current management/training or lack there of. I will not be shopping here again until I can get a damn shopping cart down one measly aisle. The horrible things I’ve seen this past week have left me in shock. I remember enjoying shopping here. I hope the police will be able to correct those issues caused by her lack of morality. My friends and family from the local church are beyond upset and we hope god may bless this place, until then we will be headed down the street to Family Dollar, to a fully stocked shelf with some actual dairy products and with a happy, educated and...
Read moreNo one wears masks at this store and they don't enforce it, despite the fact that it is a state law mandated by MDHHS. They just don't get how serious this pandemic is, how contagious the new strains are, and the lasting health effects after having the virus. Everyone prefers to make it a political statement instead of protecting themselves against a virus that doesn't care what your political affiliation is. Please, protect yourself and go elsewhere. There are many Dollar General stores in nearby towns that are safer and have more selections than the one...
