Went to the auction at Unadilla Arena a couple weeks ago. An auction is an auction ... etc. But SOMEONE needs to clean this place up! This could be a fine facility. I know there is going to be animal dung etc. and all the accompanying aromas and I understand. But the filth I see in places meant for people is inexcusable. I mean this auction is a semi annual event, I believe; and people come from all over ... and that's the reception they get!? Really !!? Now I don't live in Unadilla. And I don't live in Dooly County either. Furthermore, I don't know who owns this place. But this is called the Southeastern Arena and I do live in the southeastern United States and this is pitiful. When this place opened it was a really nice place. Hell a popular movie was filmed there. The potential was (and I believe still is) amazing. A pressure washer, a few gallons of paint, some man-hours, and a few dumpsters and most of all ... somebody that cares ... and this place could be ... really be...
Read moreLOVE, LOVED all the stuff in the "antiques" part of the sale. EVERYONE was informative and helpful (it was our 1st time). A lot of good deals AND unusual stuff. Some really nice horses, ponies, and donkeys with SOME really good prices, and some realistic for today's market (interesting mix).
