I rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience at Helen’s Nails in Union City was so frustrating and disrespectful, I have to warn others. First, my full set of nails popped off after just a week and a half. Not chipped, not cracked—completely came off, like press-ons from a drugstore. I paid for a professional job, and this was far from it. Worse, I got a gel pedicure that was completely ruined within two days—right before an important Indian wedding I was attending. Imagine trying to look put together for a multi-day celebration and your pedicure looks like it’s a week old after 48 hours. When I returned to politely explain the issue, hoping they’d stand behind their work, I was treated like garbage. No apology, no accountability, just attitude and defensiveness. I wasn’t asking for miracles—just basic customer service and some level of decency. Save yourself the stress, especially if you have something important coming up. There are too many good nail salons out there to waste time and money on a place that doesn’t care about quality or their customers.

Absolutely traumatizing It’s filthy in there, doesnt abide by appt times. They don’t sanitize their tools, they reuse all the sanding bands, files, sponges. cuticle cutters (with old skin attached). They do a sloppy job and there’s so many health concerns they should be shut down. It’s not redeemable My skin is actually peeling off, and my toe has never looked this ugly. The lamp burned me, and I now am peeling on my entire door from staph- whixh is an infection from UNSANITARY practice.

I love Helen's Nails!! Today I saw Linh and Jenni and they both do an amazing job. I never worry about booking a certain person because they are all so good. They make me feel so welcome and always do a great job. The pricing is very fair. I'm so glad I found this place!!!

I’ve noticed there’s inconsistency with their prices. I went to get a gel manicure & my eyebrows done. The total was $31. Usually they would charge $20 for manicure (gel) & $10 for eyebrows. I get it, prices have gone up everywhere because of covid. The second time I went ( weeks after) she charged me $25 for the same manicure (gel) just a different color. My sister went a separate time & got charged $65 for a manicure & pedicure( both gel). My best friend went to get the same thing yet they charged her $61. I called one time to clarify & the owner said that the manicure (gel) was $22. Therefore the math ain’t mathing, because they’re just making random prices up with different people and not being consistent. As a costumer I don’t appreciate this type of stuff because I feel like I’m being lied to & taken advantage of. I understand that if you add anything extra to the nails, there’s an extra charge, that’s not surprising. Yet, they’re charging different people different stuff for the same thing. I would clarify what the price is going to be before getting anything done. It’s not about being cheap, it’s about being truthful towards...

Never coming here again. Filthy place with flies everywhere. But what makes it worse are the employees that talk about you like you aren’t sitting right there. I received a pedi and full set. The woman who did my pedi didn’t do so well and I asked for my toes to be repainted because the nail polish was clumpy. The women there were pissed and said that everything can’t be perfect. They talked about me the entire time, even to customers. They had bad attitudes even when doing my full set, pulling my hands, blowing their breath and not responding to my conversation. I used to come here a lot even with my family, but...
