This place is nice BUT I was very disappointed today to get to the front door and see a "No Weapons" sign which caused me to have to leave my weapon in my car to attend my child's game. The only reason why I know this is a problem is because they are not doing searches at the front door and they don't have metal detectors either....which means they are disarming law abiding citizens but doing nothing to provide safety from potential threats. There was an officer there walking around but he's just one guy and he wasn't searching anyone. So any crazy person could walk in and we would all be targets and these are the same problems that happen at schools and churches because they disarm everyone but do nothing to stop the crazy people. I understand that if I don't agree with the policy then I don't have to come in but I also shouldn't have to choose to miss my child's game or be unsafe while being in there. We should always be able to properly defend ourselves when the facilities don't do front door searches. Any place that chooses to stop people from using their right to protect themselves should be held accountable if an act of violence occurs on the property when they choose not to do searches or use metal detectors. Banning weapons does not increase safety, just look at what happens at schools and churches where weapons are also banned....
Read moreCourts are decent and not a bad place for a tournament. However, parking, especially handicap parking is extremely limited so make sure you plan on walking. Also, out of all the places we go for tournaments, this one charges the most for admission. We end up paying $100 each weekend for 2 adults and 1 kid. At these prices they need to have someone from the facility run the clock a,d keep the book. Right now my wife and I pay them to let us work since we are the teams scorekeeper/bookkeeper. Also, need to take other forms of payment other than cash, especially in the middle of a pandemic. If the concessions can take credit cards why can't I pay for admission that way?? I don't understand if I'm coming for one game why I need an armband and I definitely don't need someone to put it on me. Once again, with Covid, I would prefer not to be touched by someone who is handling cash and constantly touching other people. Overall, due to these issues not one of my favorite gyms to go for...
Read moreLarge, new looking, lots of courts, clean, nice restrooms, overall cool place. However, it’s a sports complex where we cheer and whistles blow and teams yell and all the intense sounds of sports, but the place has absolutely no baffling or sound dampening or really anything to soften noise level, even from neighboring courts. It is a constant 85-90dB in here even during a time out on our court. It rose to around 102-105dB during cheers. An eruption would peak even higher. This place is awful for anyone who gets overstimulated or is sound sensitive. It’s dangerous to be here more than a couple hours at a time (according to OSHA standards). It’s a relatively cheap fix with some baffles in the ceiling and some fabric on the walls. Even better would be much thicker curtains between courts so each is more sound isolated.
Nice place. Needs to address...
