Giant Eagle Supermarket — Local services in Union Township

My wife was up early and at the store at 6 as advertised. They didn’t open the store until 7. There were others waiting also. Why did you say you’d open early for seniors if you were not? At least put a sign on the door saying you’re not joining the other giant eagles that are complying. Or, maybe do as other stores and open early seniors since there are so many in the area and this is a time of crisis. Let your employees start earlier to stock or stay later. This Giant Eagle location is inferior to all the others in the area. If the condition of their restrooms or the paint peeling off the roof are any indication of their sanitation and maintenance schedule, I would steer clear. It's not the staff's fault, they do very well. It's the management and ownership who seem to not care enough.

Their pharmacy is the most deficient department. While the regular staff are awesome, it seems as if it is managed poorly. Even now, the pharmacy can't be bothered to update their hours online to reflect when they are open.

Came to the store one day last week. Went to deli first. It was 7:05pm and they already had the deli counter emptied out. It too a few minutes to get help and when I ordered she seem annoyed. I said, "Don't you close at 8pm?." She said yes but we have to be cleaned up and out by 8. It was 705pm and half the lights were out. I didn't get everything I needed as she made us feel like a nuisance. I walked away at 710 and they turned all lights off.
