I took Kelly’s class with minimal training and left feeling much more confident and comfortable around firearms at the end of the class. I left with a working knowledge of firearm operation, and principles, and a solid foundation of firearm safety. Kelly is a fantastic teacher, he creates a friendly, and welcoming environment, and makes an effort to get to know his students — you can tell he has a passion for what he does. Kelly did a fantastic job of adequately explaining everything in the clasand lots of real world examples/comparisons so we could understand things. He also did an excellent job of providing plenty of hands on experience in a safe manner with snap caps and such, before heading to the range with live ammunition. Kelly also did a great job of fostering a non-judgemental environment in his class, if we had a question he was more than willing to tackle it, and I probably heard the phrase “it’s not a dumb question” a half dozen times, he does a great job of meeting his students where they are in terms of experience. I took the CCW course with Kelly and really enjoyed it. Kelly is a top-notch guy and his course is excellent. His experience and knowledge is truly visible while he's teaching. The small classroom setting allows for a very intimate and open experience where all members are able to ask questions and talk freely. The classroom setting also offers action stations where trainees can get their hands on a pistol, learn about it, and practice without ever putting live ammunition in it. I have my Concealed Carry, having taken the course 2 years ago at a nearby gun supply store. The instructors we ex police and very knowledgeable. I felt I was really rusty on my gun handling and signed up for this class. I am so very glad that I did! Kelly made everything so much clearer than the instruction that I received previously!!! He takes time to answer any and all questions. He is very clear on the laws and gave me confidence in my ability to use my hand gun. I highly recommend anyone taking this class (even if you have taken a class previously) AND I bought a gun that was much more comfortable in my hand. I recommend Kelly for both instruction...
