Union Market — Local services in Union

The market selection is great. Prices are a tad high but acceptable.

The big problem here is the bottle return machines that never work. I've never been in here and not had to ask someone for help on one of the many errors that come up. Usually the young lady with roll her eyes and give me a heavy sigh like it's my fault they don't upkeep their machines. I shouldn't have to find an employee to help me after every bottle I put in.

Went in there today and the manager gave me some curt response and a mumble under her breath then locked the office door so I couldn't bother her. I could come back later but it won't be fixed then either. Ended up just having to empty the bottom can return myself since no one would help. Pro tip: the can return doors on the bottom aren't locked. If it says full, shake the box a couple times and it's good to go. Empty bags are behind you on the shelf if you really wanna go...

This is a great little store in Union. Family owned with good customer service. The owner is a sincerely nice person and is always friendly and upbeat. They carry a great variety of items at at fair price. They have a meat counter in the back that carries excellent cuts of beef, pork and chicken. Saves us many trips to town for items we need for spur of the moment meals. The owner understands I am disabled and have a broken immune system. He doesn’t make fun or negative comments about our having to wear surgical masks during the winter. The owner is also very kind and respectful to my daughter that has Autism. I find it funny that I went into this market today and seen a handful of people that didn’t have a mask on and when I got up to the counter I got singled out getting told I was going to get a lecture about not wearing one.
