As many of my friends know, I've been a proponent of chiropractic care for well over 25 years and have received care from several skilled practitioners. Today, I see Dr. Jeffrey Snyder of Snyder Family Chiropractic in Oaks. I started with Dr. Snyder a few months ago because of pain and numbness across my back and down my arms. I also suffered from shooting pain down the back of one leg. I am a writer so I sit A LOT which contributes to the problem but no amount of stretching or exercise helped reduce my pain.
After a few weeks with Dr. Snyder, the pain was significantly reduced and my range of motion much improved. I am more active and flexible now that the acute pain has been relieved. Dr. Snyder is not only a skilled medical practitioner but he also has a powerful sense and 'feel' for what really needs to be addressed when treating his patients. I believe this comes from years of careful and attentive practice coupled with an innate understanding of the bodies need for well-being and health as well as the negative interferences that prevent optimal function.
Sometimes my neck and back pain is due to a very minor subluxation of a joint or rib. Dr. Snyder takes the time to pinpoint the source of the problem and performs a targeted adjustment that does not occur if I visit a chiropractor who just runs through a series of standard adjustments. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Snyder and I encourage anyone who is suffering from musculoskeletal pain of any kind to visit Snyder Family Chiropractic for an assessment, particularly if you are considering any other kind of drastic medical care like surgery or powerful pain medication. I've been advised, over the years, that I needed surgery on my foot, wrist and shoulder. I am happy to say that I am in much better shape seeing Dr. Snyder and grateful to have avoided the drastic measures such as surgeries and opioid medications that were recommended. Thank you Dr. Jeff! ...
Read moreI recommend Dr. Snyder to anyone who wants real actual results and if you enjoy being treated like a human being and not a price tag. I’ve never been to a chiropractor before this and after my car accident two years ago I was getting a lot of run around from other doctors with minimal results. I finally decided to give this office a try and I am really happy I did! I was really tense and tight from the accident and all out of wack, I was in a tremendous amount of pain and every since seeing him regularly I can now turn my neck with ease and stand tall and walk futher with minimal pain. I love this place. It feels like home. Very welcoming and comfortable. I would not look any further! He is wonderful! He was able to find a major mistake my regular doctors missed and helped restore my functionality. I still have a recovery road ahead of me, but I feel so much better now that I’ve been a regular. I have more energy, I feel and look good, I feel stronger and happier. :) when in constant pain, it is wonderful to have a doctor who really cares and listens to you and all your concerns. I trust Dr. Snyder with my recovery needs and he hasn’t let me down yet! Thank you Dr. Snyder! Also thank you Laura! She works at the front desk and is always kind and wonderful to talk to. She really warms up the office. She is very kind to my daughter and is very helpful providing information from appointments to referrals. She is great! This duo team provides excellent service and I leave there every time feeling better and happy that I found such a great Chiropractor! Thank you for all that you do and keep up the...
Read moreI have had problems with my upper back and neck on and off for at least 20 years. In the past I have visited chiropractors when things got too bad but only to get that particular problem fixed and that was it. When I woke up one morning unable to turn my head I knew a chiropractor could help but I dreaded it a bit since I never liked it much and in particularly not the sound in your head when the neck gets adjusted. I found Dr. Snyder and he got me an appointment the same day and it was great!
There was no nasty sound in your head, no scary twisting (well there is but with the help of the adjustable table he uses it just isn’t bad at all) and I walked out of there able to move my head again. It was only the beginning though as Dr. Snyder introduced me to the advanced technical equipment for assessment of the spine and nerve system that he uses. It never occurred to me and nobody had ever told me that chiropractic care could and perhaps should be a part of a more regular maintenance to also prevent issues in the first place.
I still go up and down with problems but Dr. Snyder is always able to help and I have much better understanding of what the problem is coming from and how to handle it. He is very passionate about his work and loves to educate in a very personable way. If you are considering chiropractic care for any reason, I can highly...
