I'll admit, with a name like Taco Pizza, I was suspicious if they could do either dish competently. I've ordered a variety of foods from there over 3 orders now and am happy to admit I was wrong.
First off, this is the closest to NY style pizza you'll get here in the area without having to get a second mortgage to eat at Vecchia. The pizza has a nice crisp bottom and a chewy crust, and is sufficiently cheesed.
Secondly, they have a bangin' vegan tomato pie on a thick sicilian style crust. If thick crust isn't your thing, getting a regular pizza without the cheese is your next best option. I only mention that second option because I've ordered cheeseless pizzas from multiple places in the area and they either burn the sauce or add it after the pizza is finished cooking. Taco Pizza got this right every time.
Finally, don't sleep on the restaurant's namesake, Taco Pizzas. some may recoil at the idea of beans on a pizza but getting them on a specialty pie on a white pizza is SO good.
I've lived in the area for 5 years, often driving by Taco Pizza on my way to Philly and always got a chuckle from their mascot, a smiling enthusiastic taco. Unfortunately for me, I only started ordering from here a few months ago and Taco Pizza will certainly be in the delivery rotation...
Read moreI'm giving 2 stars cause I've ordered here a bunch of times and never had a complaint. Tonight my wife and I ordered a pizza and calzone. The pizza had literally no sauce and tasted like the guy making the pie threw a handful of flour on the pizza peel before going in the oven. So I return the pizza for my money back with full intentions on ordering from this establishment again. But after the pizza maker was there standing got all offended and said I had to order extra sauce on it, and a few other immature comments that he made....nope dont want extra just regular amount. Also the man child forgot to put tomatoes in the calzone. My advice dont let that hack talk to customers. I definitely would have been back. But after that experience how could I? The delivery driver was a very nice lady though... I know customer service jobs could be rough cause I work in a customer service job, but very unprofessional of your pizza cook especially for being...
Read moreI went on a trip recently and we decided to stop in here for lunch with friends. A couple things about this place, it's really a sore sight when you first walk in.. bright green walls, the bathroom was a little gross, and gambling machines everywhere with employees playing them... and the sitting area had no air conditioning. But even though the atmosphere was not the best, the food was worth the visit. I got the bacon ranch pizza and it was absolutely one of the most delicious pizzas I have ever had. The cheesesteak was extremely flavorful and a friend of mine also got tacos and was raving about them all the way home. I'll also say the employees taking orders were very friendly and one especially just had such a pleasant smile it made my day. If I have come down there again I would order the food or do...
