Words cannot describe how impressed I am with the artistry and restoration capabilities of this firm. When one of my beloved Italian lamps - from a matching pair purchased on my honeymoon - was knocked off a table I was devastated. The piece broke in such a way that approx. 1/2 remained intact, approx. 1/4 broke into 3 larger shards, and the other 1/4 was obliterated into dust. In my wildest dreams I never could have imagined the lamp could be restored. When I first brought the piece to the studio I expected it to be turned away as a lost cause, but a few months later I am thrilled to report that I received a perfectly restored lamp. There is not even the slightest trace of any damage, the intricate artwork has been faithfully recreated and the sheen of the glaze is as perfect as the day I purchased it. I can't even tell the difference between the 2 lamps now, and that is an incredible feat given that I am an architect with a keen eye for detail. I had two red ware plates that were given to my parents, one for their wedding and the other when I was born. The plates are decorated with PA Dutch folk art along with names and dates of the events. Both plates were badly damaged, broken and poorly repaired with glue. I brought them to A Ludwig Klein to be restored. I am so pleased with the final result. I cannot tell that the plates were ever broken. They both look fully restored along with proper coloration and glazing.
