The crew was kind, but created a disaster of a mess and busted a screen. Evidently they used grinding tools to cut the tile and backing plaster but failed to put up any plastic (their own or what I provided to them) nor run a fan to extract the dust (which I also provided) or other dust guards. The dust was so bad it caused the house smoke alarms to go off. Worse, they didn’t seem at all concerned by the dust and whether it contained any harmful chemicals. Lastly, they busted a hole in our bathroom window screen.
It has taken me two full days to clean the bathroom, upstairs floor, downstairs floor. And my wife is beside herself with fear about the dust getting into our kids’ lungs.
Are all of your crews this careless?
Update: Before I posted, I did communicate these concerns with the individual who scoped the job and scheduled it and was told "I want to apologize for the huge inconvenience that you experienced. I totally understand your frustration. I’m passing this email along to the managers of our company. Be expecting contact from our management. Thank you for letting me know." No one has contacted me.
2nd Update: Responding to the response: "Update: Our team reports they covered the floors, closed the door to the room, had 2 fans in the window blowing dust outside of the home and vacuumed and cleaned the site when finished. Again, please call the office to discuss any concerns or questions. Thanks! " -- Yes, they did, AFTER the fire alarm went off and my wife went to talk with them about removing the dust, at which time they also turned the room's power back on and turned on the window fan already...
Read moreWould have given 0 stars if possible! We called this company specifically Kuchefski Heating and Air and I was met with a friendly owner Greg on the other end of the phone he said that he could get someone out to fix our furnace by 1pm we were so excited as it was a cold night of sleep when the furnace went out and we didn't know how quickly we could get someone to fix it so awesome. This was the best of it as no one shows up until 4:15p and let me tell you what the guy that showed up made sure to tell my GF about living in a mobile home and how he had to get home before the college football championship. Needless to say 45 minutes later he says he can't fix the issue and charges 195$ mind you, we were told the 95$ was a service charge and it would be credited to the final bill. I called and spoke to this guy and he then tells me all about his life. I called this company because they had good reviews and I was very disappointed needless to say they are still going to send me a bill of 95$ after we then spent 700$ with another company to get fixed what they didn't even try to fix.... never use...
Read moreI would highly recommend them. They were on time always and called ahead to let us know when they would arrive. They’re professional service is some of the best I’ve ever been associated with, there were never any corners cut installing our new Trane HVAC system . Any additional problems they encountered were immediately brought to our attention and dealt with appropriately. They’re quote was right in line with other companies and we understood everything before the installation. They even repaired a couple of minor problems at their own volition. Very friendly and courteous staff, very knowledgeable including the office personnel. We got the new system that is tied into our WiFi and is it SWEET. I was a bit warm in bed , I picked up my phone and set the temperature to a desired temperature and never got out of bed. I think I can get really used to this system. Our thanks and prayer to everyone at CU HVAC. Champaign, Illinois. Lee and Carolyn Bretzlaff Villa...
