Kicked to the Curb, Ghosted and Ripped OffâAfter being a loyal and consistent client at Kinex for over 9 years, staying through management and staff changes, staff bickering, downsizing and the COVID pandemic closure, I was notified by my trainer of more than a year and a half, that she was leaving under unclear circumstances. She told me to expect a refund of $150.00 for pre-paid, unused sessions. She informed me that there was no one there to train me any longer. When I asked for some explanation, she said that because it took her âlongerâ to put together my workouts because of neck and knee injuries (the knee injury that I got while training with her) that I have, that this was âtoxicâ for her. Yeah, she actually said that. And, yeah, a âpersonalâ trainer, whose job by definition is to customize workouts for individual clients based on their limitations and goals actually told me that the time she needed to do her job as it related to me was âtoxicâ to her. Then the manager just ghosted me. So, if youâre considering going to Kinex, think about how they treat long-time clients, and...

If you're looking for a knowledgeable, supportive and fun trainer I highly recommend Tori. Her knowledge and dedication have made all...
Read moreI have been a client of Kinex for over 2 years now. My experience has always been positive. Last winter there was a change of ownership and management. I'll admit to being a bit apprehensive to the change since I'm a senior male and was going to be trained by the new owner, Amanda. She evaluated me, I volunteered some MRI results, and she developed a plan to address my low back issues. My results have been significant, and her physical therapy background is evident. Each session I go to she is prepared with a customized, individual workout. Her all-female staff are equally competent too. I highly recommend...
