Talked to Troy Myers over the phone about getting a new battery for my 1980 Honda CB650C. He quickly researched and offered a wet-cell battery which I declined as the wet cell batteries did not seem to have enough cold cranking amps (cca or ca) to turn my bike over on cold mornings. He understood and looked up some batteries I suggested (gel or AGM) that he was familiar with. Said he could get an AGM (my preferred choice) by the next day and that he would give me a call. the prices were on par with online prices for off-brand batteries with 1 day shipping. A 1-year warranty on the battery came to boot!
Upon coming to the store (I came before he called) there was a paper on the door stating that he was short-staffed and was out delivering part- Understandable. I called the number he left on the paper, he picked up immediately and said he would be back in 45 min and call me when he and the battery arrived. 40 minutes later I get a friendly call saying to come pick the battery up. Greeted with a friendly face and was quickly charged for the battery. In the mean time we talked about how there was no business for Honda motorcycle repairs in the area (before I had to haul my bike to Dixon to 1-Up motorsport). I feel pretty confident in saying that he loves working on motorcycle and is very knowledgeable in his profession. I stand by his knowledge as i have taken my entire bike down to its core screws and bolts and slapped her back together to get her running... sloppily, the bike just needed some carburetor syncing tools which I did not have.
Hopefully I won't need to see him anytime soon, but if something goes awry, Troy at Moto-Tec here in Vacaville will be my...
Read moreFirst of all, I've met Troy and Gary and they are very knowledgeable people. Easy to talk to and very friendly. I first came by for an oil change and a chain cleaning, received my motorcycle back in the same day a couple hours later. They also did an inspection and told me I should get my fork seals replaced because they were leaking and the tires were on their way out. I received an estimate of the different option of tires I can choose from depending on my budget, and they didn't push me into getting the service done at all. I got back to them a couple days later, and they said bring the motorcycle in. Brought the motorcycle to the shop in the afternoon and they called right before they closed that the service was already finish. I was so surprised by how fast their service is. And best of all is the labor and service did not break my bank account! Now my motorcycle rides even better than before. SpeakEasy Moto is definitely my go to for all motorcycle...
Read moreThe best shop around and in town!!! Definitely I will recommend you and everyone else this place. If you have a motorcycle if know someone that needs some bike service, definitely go here! I look for about 2 complete weeks for a place where they can tell me what the issue was with my motorcycle and also to obtain a quote for the repairs. The majority of shops I found asked for 250 dollars for estimate to get the bike revised and tested. After that process was completed then an estimate fee will be charged then repairs will be processed accordingly. In this shop, they took the bike, trobleshooted and provided and estimate, all at once!! After job was completed nothing else was added to the invoice. Be ke was fixed perfectly and now is running like a pro!!!! Congratulations and many, many thanks to the guys and the entire team at MT Moto...
