Dollar General — Local services in Valley Falls

Used to come in here sometimes because it was a easy access, safe, and clean store that never discriminated against me because of my appearance. Note...i did not choose to look the way i do because of health issues. The manager always was super friendly and asked how i was doing. Recently, I came in to buy razors the day before a important surgery. I hadnt been in for awhile because ive been living on and off elsewhere closer to health services I need. Before i got to the counter i went to discount stuff to wait so i didnt disrupt a conversation that was happening between the cashier and someone who worked there. I went to the counter after the conversation was over, and the non-cashier(dark hair, in short ponytail, ive never seen before) looked at me and said something to the cashier. They both looked at me werid when i got to the counter and the dark haired lady scoped me out like i was stealing. I got my stuff,left and told the cashier to have a good fourth of july as per always. Pretty disappointing. Unfortunately i will no longer be coming to this store because i dont feel safe. Staff wouldn't come up to ring me up at the register. I let her know I was there and she ignored me, then I asked if I was at the right register and she said Yes and continued to open boxes and scan items (probably doing inventory). She continued to open about 10 boxes and I finally walked away without my items and told her that wasn't very nice. She then proceeded to argue with me on my way out the door. I couldn't believe it. I like the store and buy all my animal foods there as well as other stuff and spend a lot of money. The five dollars off is a big insensitive. Have noticed the prices rising on a lot of stuff though, ie fancy feast cat food, I have six cats and two dogs and the dog food has also gone up, also the the tubs of Temptations has also shot up, I buy about three of those a week.
