Im giving 1 star to the female manager here & really id give negatives if it was an option. My mom purchased multiple items here and came to pick them up a couple days ago. She found most of her items but a few were NOT in their designated spots. My mom even asked the employees to help her look that day and the employees couldnt even find the items in their "desginated spots". They told my mom to come back Monday to talk and get help from the manager. Me and my fiance and our 2 baby girls came back today with my mom to help her load the items, like she was told to do. Which was a HUGE inconvenience to all of us. The manager REFUSED to believe anything my mom told her. Stated there was no way the items were missing/in the wrong spots and her exact words, "she would be pissed if she went to go look for us and the items were sitting there". She went searching & the items must of been found at the end of the night and put back in their right spots and she was mad she found the items and started TOSSING boxes at my fiance, NO JOKE, TOSSING. After the first box she shoved in his arms I asked her where a cart was, she ignored my question and ONCE AGAIN tossed another box into his arms when I finally told her to stop tossing boxes at my fiance whos simply trying to help my mom get the items she purchased like HER employees told my mom to come do! This was the most UNPROFESSIONAL manager I have ever witnessed in my entire life and I will definitely be contacting corporate over this matter. This is not how you talk or treat ANYONE, but especially customers you inconvenienced by having to come back.
If the employee who told my mom to come back Monday didn't communicate this to the manager, she should talk to HER employees about communicating to her, instead of PHYSICALLY shoving boxes in my fiances arms & being rude. Beyond unprofessional and humane. Especially after explaining nicely what had happened when her employees should have been the one to explain the...
Read moreI really love this location. So much cleaner than any other one I've been to. It's got A/C, things are actually neatly organized and (usually) where they're supposed to be. The biggest plus is that the employees are ACTUALLY helpful at this location, and they don't treat you like you're a POS just for asking a question. Every other BidFTA location I've been to has been chaos and every employee was crass, dismissive, or downright rude. At Edwin C Moses I only said "excuse me ma'am" and the lady rolled her eyes at me, scoffed loudly, and just walked away. Thats wild to me. I was beginning to think a prerequisite for being employed by this company was that you had to be bitter and mean, until visiting the Vandalia location. At the Vandalia location EVERYONE I talked to was polite and helpful. The system for this location also puts all your items (in the pickup helper) in ORDER, saving you so much time having to look. I found every single item I was looking for, and the list was loonnng. We picked nearly the same amount of items yesterday from Edwin C Moses and it took us nearly 5 hours. It took only 35 mins at Vandalia. That is an insane difference, straight up. Furthermore, SOOOOO many people told me to check this location out and reiterated my complaints about the other locations, citing their own stories. I met people that will ONLY go to this location because of how different it is than the others. I genuinely cannot praise this...
Read moreEverytime I've had to pickup items, I'm in and out. The only difficult thing to do is find parking during a rush.
Had to change my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. The older lady and younger man that are up front checking people out are beyond rude. I forgot that you couldn't bring your purse in a couple of weeks ago and instead of gently reminding myself and other women, she screamed and hollered at us like we were children. Fast forward to last week... There were no large carts for a couple of large items I purchased. We grabbed a pallet jack that mind you was sitting right up front. Older lady started screaming which was totally uncalled for. When we went to check out the younger man started ridiculing the fact that we had it. My husband and I promised that we would bring it back after loading but that was not good enough. It got so bad that I threatened to call Carmen to advise and recommend that they not put these pair of bullies up front dealing with the public. At that point, they stopped. It should not take me having to make a personal call for this behavior to stop. I would recommend these two be put in the back instead of customer facing. I've worked several years in customer service and the lack of treating others right is not acceptable in a customer facing environment. (We returned the pallet jack as promised). All that hooting and hollering...
