Water Guy — Local services in Veneta

What a poor experience had with Jay today. I called to have a aerator installed in my well two weeks ago. He came out, said it was my water heater and didn't do the job I asked for (mind you I paid for his time because he also worked on my soft water system, that still isn't working right-not complaining about that even though I should have a warranty for work). Problem still there after he left. When asked, he said he assumed it was my water heater but didn't confirm, so a return visit is still needed to do the work I asked for. Where things went wrong to me is when I asked him, on the first visit, to quote replacing old parts and add a UV sterilizer too. His quote was very high, I priced shopped and found parts 4 times less than his quote and asked if he would install the parts I wanted to buy, he said hire a plumber. I said I still need the aerator I hired you for, please schedule that. He did, showed up today and rather do that, he planned to do the entire job I told him I was buying parts for and hiring another plumber, like he said to do. He obviously misunderstood and cut off his nose in spite of his face and left not doing any work. Saying we are leaving you can find someone else to do that (the aerator). Funny, even put his hand out to shake mine as if that's ok. What a hard lesson learned, guess I never hire him again... too bad too, seemed like a good guy, guess true colors really come out when integrity is knocking...

I've been a customer of The Water Guy for 11 years and have always been satisfied. They never try to upsell, just fix the issue. In the past they have repaired, and serviced, my water softener. Today my water went out and I diagnosed the issue as the well head control box that had a very crusty capacitor.
