Course was solid with a lot of dog legs, rock action, and even a live bear sighting on the 10th tee. Reason for my 3 star rating was not at all the shape of the course, which was very nice - my experience was lessened by a sloppy starter box (ran 15 mins late), and a molasses pace of play through the full 18. With a 8:30am tee time, a round should never take 5 hours (with a cart). Spent over 10 mins on some tee boxes waiting. Keep up the great work with the course maintenance, but my recommendation would be to have the ranger get out there and maintain a semblance of pace of play! Beware: beautiful course, may be a 5 hour round.

I recently played in a tournament here and was blown away by the course. The layout is unique with three distinct sets of 9 holes—Lakeside, Railside, and Quarryside—each offering a completely different experience and stunning scenery. From peaceful water views to rugged quarry backdrops, the landscape is incredible throughout. The course was in great shape, and everything was well-organized. Can’t wait to come back!

Played the Quarry/Lake nines at Great Gorge for the first time and had one of my favorite rounds this year. The Fazio design is awesome—clever, memorable holes throughout. Fairways and tee boxes were in fantastic shape, greens were quick and tough, and the staff was very welcoming. Looking forward to coming back to try the Rail nine and the pitch-and-putt (which looks fun).

David & Dan did an exceptional job hosting our golf outing at the Great Gorge Golf Club for 40 people. From start to finish, they ensured everything ran smoothly and seamlessly. Their attention to detail was evident in the well-organized event schedule and the personalized service they provided to each participant.

The event kicked off on time with clear instructions and a warm welcome, setting a positive tone for the day. Throughout the rounds, David & Dan were readily available, addressing any questions or needs promptly. They maintained a friendly and professional demeanor, contributing to the enjoyable atmosphere of the outing.

The post-game arrangements, including awards and refreshments, were well-coordinated, adding a nice touch to the overall experience. David & Dan's efforts truly made our golf outing memorable and hassle-free. We would highly recommend their services for anyone planning a similar event at Great...

Poor starter management. 1230 tee time. Put on hold for 30 minutes as other groups make the turn and grab their drinks and hot dogs.... unlike any other place I've played. Very disappointed. UPDATE Course management called me 3 days after this incident occurred. After explaining what happened they confirmed the delay to our tee time for other groups on the turn, should have never happened. They were VERY KIND and professional. They even offered to comp a round to make up for it. Such is not necessary as I simply wanted to draw attention to the matter. I greatly appreciated their quick action and professionalism. They were adamant to ensure this doesn't happen again for other golfers. I hope to visit again soon to play their Rail course. I recommend Quarry as it was unlike any other course I've played in the area.

That said, I've bumped this from a 2 star...

On Sunday 5/26 my friends and I experienced quite possibly the worst round of golf we’ve ever played. Our tee time was an 11:20 a.m. start and we didn’t finish until after 5 p.m. We were constantly waiting on every single tee box with the group ahead of us, aswell as the group behind us. This snail like pace of golf was because they allowed a group of six to play in the middle of a holiday weekend, on a SUNDAY MORNING! We called the pro shop to send out a ranger to try to speed things up. When the ranger arrived he assured us the 6-some would skip a hole to create a gap. That never happened and we continued to wait. It was just mind boggling that they would send out groups of six in the middle of a Sunday Morning. I just don’t understand how you can allow that to happen. A near six hour golf round is absolutely ridiculous and we probably...
