Have your wedding at Waverly Estate! I cannot say enough how grateful we are that we had our wedding at Waverly Estate. We wanted a venue with a natural landscape and a glass house/greenhouse type building and luckily we found Waverly Estate! Not only is the entire grounds GORGEOUS, the Waverly team is professional, easy to work with, and does business in a way I wish most people would, especially in the wedding industry. I can truly say, Waverly Estate will try to save you money unlike some other places/vendors will. You have so many options as to how you hold your ceremony. Waverly Estate works to ensure you have as easy a wedding as possible! I did not realize how having a venue with a house on the grounds for the whole weekend makes everything so much easier for the set up and clean up for the wedding. It also gave us the opportunity to spend a weekend with our closest friends and family, instead of just the wedding day. This all-inclusive venue has an AMAZING in-house caterer (Fuqua School), amazing florist & wedding designer (Hunter and Marigold), cake bakers (Confections of a Cake), DJ (Cluster Entertainment), and an amazing event coordinator, MaryJean. MaryJean really made our wedding planning easy. She was incredibly responsive with all our questions leading up to the wedding. She made sure we were on track to have everything prepped for the wedding (my husband and I did the wedding planning and didn’t hire a wedding planner) and she took care of so much on top of coordinating our wedding day! MaryJean and the Waverly team really helped to slow things down for us on our wedding day. MaryJean is so calm and chill, yet highly organized and proactive, that her demeanor would calm the family/bride (me)/etc too. My husband and I never felt rushed and we felt completely taken care of. Things like making sure we ate and bringing us food, and asking us if we needed a few more minutes for something helped so much. She was actively ensuring we were doing what we want on our wedding day. I want to go on and on about her but you may not read this whole review lol. I honestly don’t know how she coordinates every wedding and rehearsal dinner at Waverly Estate. Waverly made everything easy by booking vendors for us. We were so happy with all the vendors Waverly set us up with as part of our package (the Estate Package). The only thing we got outside of their list of vendors was a Photographer and Officiant. We got the most bang for our buck here! I’m so ecstatic to call myself a...
Read moreI got married here on 9/4/21, and it was absolutely beautiful. We were absurdly lucky with the weather, it was 75 all weekend with no humidity. However, the nature, historic architecture, charm, and staff were what pulled everything together. Reading the reviews here and on wedding websites about Waverly Estate helped my husband and I decide to get married here, because everyone raved about how well the owners help plan and orchestrate the event. Sarah is your day of coordinator, but from what I've heard from other venues, Sarah does much better than other day of coordinators. She simply anticipated everything we needed and in the gentlest, calmest manner, would ask us important questions throughout the day - which is exactly what a bride and family need on a crazy wedding day! We also had an in depth planning meeting a month in advance that is not always offered by other venues. Few venues have such beautiful rain plan options to pair with beautiful outdoor settings. We did not have to worry about rain, but if we had, all of the options would have been perfect.
Quite literally all of our guests raved to me on the day of about the beauty of the space and the reception building. The only minor flaw about the venue is that there are few large hotels around the area (nearest one is 35 minutes away). For myself and my husband who have enormous families, this required getting buses for our guests to the wedding. Would simply suggest hyper communicating the distance to your guests in advance so they can't complain. :) We wanted the privacy of the "middle of nowhere" feel, so I think it comes with some complications such as distance at times. I still believe it was 100% worth it. Highly recommend this place for a wedding or any event.
10 of my family members stayed at the Bed and Breakfast on site over the weekend with the farm animals. I did not personally stay but imagine that it was very peaceful. One thing I was not aware of but would have liked to know in advance was that there is no wifi at the venue. Again, this did not affect me, but more for those who stayed over the weekend at the house. Supposedly it simply is not available in this area, which again is part of the "middle of nowhere" experience. Cell reception was available for some providers but not all.
Many thanks again to Sarah and all of her staff !! It was an exceptional event...
Read moreWaverly Estate provided the best canvas for our fall wedding. So many of our guests told us our wedding was the best they've ever been to. We initially planned on having an outdoor ceremony but the on-site historic chapel felt so warm and special that we decided to have it inside and it was the most gorgeous part of our day. It's so convenient having a place to get ready, have the ceremony, have the reception, and sleep. And there is so much space that people can spread out if they want to. The property is beautifully manicures but also very natural looking. They have some of the most gorgeous trees and we took so many photos under the willow. I chose Waverly Estate because I didn't want something too rustic looking but I did want an antique feel. It definitely helped me accomplish that. The patio right outside of the house makes a perfect place to hold both the rehearsal dinner and the cocktail hour. There are plenty of photo-ops for guests to have fun both before and after the ceremony. We had a second shooter photographer at our wedding who got so many great photos of our friends and family during the cocktail hour. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything run smoothly. Johanna and Michelle made me feel super supported all day. The owner, Sarah Brown is very communicative and always got back to me the same day if I have any questions. She makes things very clear so you can understand what you are paying for. The packages they offer will ultimately save you money and make the process a lot less stressful. This is not a reason to knock off a star but it should be noted that they do not have wifi and the signal is pretty spotty. That being said it was actually really nice to be unplugged because on the day of your wedding everyone should be able to figure out what they are doing without the bride and groom's help. It was a nice place to kick back with our family without having everyone on their phones. Overall our wedding day was the most memorable day of our lives and I cannot stop gushing over how many gorgeous photos we got because of how many different backdrops the estate has to offer. As I said before the estate is a nice canvas and it has a lot of charm and I think it has something to offer couples any time...
