A true gem tucked away in a lovely little town. If you are a fan of tea or charming experiences then you must make a point to stop by. This store is run by a Husband and Wife team who have poured themselves into their establishment and you can taste the passion in every sip and bite. The house is historic and the husband will be more than happy to share some of that colorful history.
Everything, and I mean everything, is done in house with the food being prepared by the wife. Every single thing we tried was top notch; the bbq pinwheel and cucumber sandwiches were my personal favorites. The tea was brewed very well and presented in a traditional manner that makes you feel like a kid at a tea party again. It is well worth driving multiple hours for, I assure you that you will leave with a smile on your face and a warm belly. I cannot wait to return to try the bar that they are finishing construction on, I am confident the quality of their tea room will translate to an excellent watering hole.
Do yourself a favor and gather some friends and family for tea day, you will wish you had...

The next week we went back to try the afternoon tea. The menu changes monthly, so we had a slightly spooky Halloween themed tea. I have been to several other tea rooms many times in Hampton Roads and Baltimore. If this wasn't my favorite, it was at least second. The food was delicious and beautiful, the teas were steeped perfectly again, and the prices are very reasonable. I plan to be back for afternoon tea at least once a month. I don't want to miss a...
Read moreExcellent customer experience. All the food is amazing. Breakfast is fairly standard, but they accommodate to anything you fancy. There are new items being added all the time. Lunch is your local sandwich shop with some very interesting, but delicious combinations. Afternoon tea is a slice out of heaven. You experience any authentic British tea with wonderful kitchen creations. Be prepared to not be ready for dinner afterwards. This never disappoints. The Tavern is the perfect local bar that you stop at on your way home from a rough day at work. They currently serve craft beer and wine and adding weekly. It's a cute and quaint area with games you've never heard of. Rosewood is an experience in itself and the owners have many plans to expand and bring a wide variety of experiences. Ten out of ten...
