Viera East Golf Course — Local services in Viera

The greens have weeds popping up all over them. It is hard to have a putt that is not affected by them.Fairways are in pretty good shape. The rough is in bad shape. Tee boxes were pretty good. The sand traps have hardly any sand in some of them. Literally hit one ball from a trap with 1/2” of sand under the ball. My real disappointment came from the news I received when I got to the course. I reserved my tee time on Golf Now, a hot deal. When I arrived they did not have my time in the system. They allowed me to play as they were not full. The guy was very nice about it. I was told Viera East is no longer working with Golf Now. I was also told by the guy checking me in that Baytree and Duran are cancelling their agreement with Golf Now. If this is true it is very disappointing. Obviously it is not working out from a business standpoint. But it will affect how often I play at Viera East. Especially during summer months. These courses are not full right now. And paying full price for a sub par course is not something I am...

The course was in fair condition. The facility is undergoing some renovations , but overall does not affect the playability of the course. There is one hole closed, today it was #8, but the rest were fully open with no temporary greens or tee boxes. The greens were aerated a few weeks ago, and there are faint lines still on the greens. I noticed a couple of greens that are having issues, but didn't affect the ball roll. This course is going to need some rain, or the irrigation system fully operational, or this heat is going to do some damage to the fairways and greens. Also, the attempt to put nice white sand on the holes that face Murrell rd., isn't fooling anyone. Do us golfers a favor and replace the dirt traps to real "sand" traps! One more item that needs to be addressed is to put a couple more water coolers on the course, let's face it- this isn't a high dollar fix, so please make this change. We play this course often, but lately the staff has gone to the bunkers. Rude employee's at the Divot Grill the last 2 times we was there. First with a foursome on 4/30 at a 330 T time Older lady in her 60s would not give us a cooler unless we bought beer. So when we said ok can we have a beer and a cooler , she rudely replied I'm not giving you a cooler for one beer even though we had purchased several other beverages to take with us and a chicken wrap/sandwhich, ( Gatorades and water ). Today 5/8/21 playing with my wife , 330 T Time . Go inside to get the same sandwhich only to be told they only offer hotdogs after 330. Which were not done. And they were grilling and cooking other foods in the back . No starter today either we were 3 deep at every T box. And people driving the ball past our cart while we were waiting on the golfers in front of us. Very Disappointed in such a nice course. Took 3.5 hours to play 9 holes. We were there to play 18 but...
