I was checking out of a self-check out line recently and always had little or no issues. For some reason this was going to be one of those days which will go into the ālittle problemsā column. For some reason the self-check out didnāt like what I was doing and signaled for help from an employee. That employee chastised me for not going to an attended checkout. He then stated that all my transactions were being recorded on video. He then started counting all my plastic bagged groceries repeating I was being recorded on video. I stated I had no problem with being videotaped because I had done nothing wrong. He again repeated I should have gone to a regular check outline. I finally asked why?! He said I had too many groceries and I was holding up the line. This was not true. My wife asked me to pick up a few items on my way home which I was doing. He grumbled so more and I asked where were the signs indicating how many items could be checked out at this line. He grumbled something incoherent again. So I repeated the question, ā where were the signs?ā He finished counting by then and just walked away. My wife and I have lived in this community for over 30 years and before there was that Kroger. Never have I experienced such a shaded accusation anywhere I have shopped especially Kroger. I have taught high school math in this community and had never experienced such an attack from an employee. I will never return to that store and am awaiting the new Meijer store to be built to ensure my vow of never returning to that Kroger. Be aware that it only takes one sufficiently rude employee to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday was crazy, I don't shop at this location but I was in the area, it was cold and raining, so I had on a black jacket with a hood, I kept on my hood cause I was freezing, so me and my mother went shopping, we get to cereal aisle, trying to decide which one to get and look up our digital coupons, no one else was in the aisle, then comes a young girl employee, she gose a little past us and just start pretending she's looking for something, we all were in the aisle together for a couple of minutes, my mother asked me which cereal was best so I responded, now the employee still in her same spot not grabbing anything from the shelf looking in the same spot, she didn't move until we moved, we get to end of the aisle and then she moves, then what pissed me off was she had the audacity to stand next to us, pretending to be interested in something on the shelf, she looks then touches something shrugs her shoulders and walk away, at least if you thought we were stealing, dont be so obvious., I wanted to ask her can we help you find something? or tell whomever sent you over here that WE DON'T NEED TO STEAL ,my God always provides it was raing and cold out so what I had on was appropriate for the weather, I can see if it 78 degrees out. Not everyone who the world considers and labels as thieves are 1, had to go home and pray, but unfortunately this is the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Kroger is absolutely ridiculous. The front end staff women are rude. On multiple occasions I have went in to shop, to be met with rude attitudes and poor customer service. My most recent visit, the lines were long and only one lane was open. An older employee decided to open a lane, grab two ladies behind me and ring them out. She did not turn her light on, Iām assuming to be able to get away from the register quickly. I was holding my infant who was crying and had a few things that needed checked out. I stepped into her line in hopes she would take me too. She looked at me and said āmy lane is closedā I told her I have just a couple things and Iām holding a baby and she still said ā I canāt my lane is closedā proceeded to finish the lady I front of me and then go stand at the customer service desk. Just rude. I will never shop here again. I donāt want to blame it on racism but it really felt that way. And the Kia parked in employee parking every day with a confederate flag license plate doesnāt make me...
