Let me start off by saying the staff was super nice. I enjoyed them. It was my first time there. The moment I opened the entrance door I was shocked. Lights full blast, every window blind open, not even the slightest hint of essential oil in the air, no relaxing/ spa music, office type decor. It honestly felt more like an old doctor’s office than a spa. I checked in on time and took a seat. I patiently waited 30 mins before I confirmed the appointment time with the kind lady at the front. She sincerely apologized and informed me that there was a staffing issue and gave me some different options to make up for it, including taking care of the entire bill. I completely understood, things happen, no big deal! I was actually pretty psyched for the mistake at this point. She let me do the light/ sound meditation room while I waited. After meditating, she nonchalantly told me we’re only comping one service. Again, no bigs and still excited for the freebies and my spa day. After making it to the massage room, I was even more blown away by the atmosphere in there. It was a chilly room with squeaky wood floors, all lights on, blinds open, no music, a loudly ticking clock, no relaxing aromas, and a massage table with a single sheer sheet on it. I thought “well this isn’t my idea of a relaxing time at the spa, but I’ll keep an open mind.” Honestly, I was a bit perplexed on if I was even suppose to undress for my 90 minute massage because of the entire atmosphere of the place so far. The massage table was tepid at best. I had to ask for a blanket. My feet were freezing during the entire massage. The guy put his fingers inside my ears and lightly massaged/ ran his fingers over my face, almost right off the rip. I hated it. I could hear the noise from the hallway throughout the entire massage, along with the loudly ticking kitchen clock above my head. The hour long reflexology was very relaxing!! The woman put a lavender scented cloth over my eyes before starting and followed up with wrapping my frigid feet in hot towels. I’m absolutely stunned this “spa” has excellent reviews. I really thought by the way the locals acted and the prices, I would leave feeling rejuvenated and fabulous, relaxed at the very least. I left there shaking my head, wondering what in hell was that?! I recommend anywhere else but here for...
Read moreI love to visit this property when I am at the beach but I mostly enjoy the outdoors. There are some nice people there but most of the people I come in contact with are off putting. Today 8-7-24, I went into the store and searched for a flat blue stone for a friend who was on the phone with me. She asked me to check with the people who work there just in case I missed something. So I did and the lady proceeded to tell me I can choose any stone I felt good energy from. I told her I am loking for a blue stone for a friend and she then proceeded to tell me to just think of the friend and choose stone I felt was good for her. WTH? I didn't ask your arrogant self(who apparently is so enlightened that you absolutely knows what's best for me) gow to choose stones. I am specifically asking g for a flat blue stone. DO YOU HAVE IT, YES OR NO? I just had to leave. I'll always choose to spend my...
Read moreThis place is so calming and peaceful. The staff are very kind and respectful and are easy to talk to. I got the spa combo package of a steam bath and full body massage. Worth every penny spent!!! Military gets a $5 discount. Paulo was my massage therapist and he was there to listen with empathy and compassion to my emotional and physical struggle. He stretched me out before massage and the steam bath made me nice and relaxed. He constantly checked in to make sure I was receiving the best massage and that everything felt good for me with the appropriate pressure applied. Their massage tables are heated and have a soft pad under the sheet so you arent just laying on plastic. He also used a pillow to support behind my knees while I was on my back and under my ankles while I was on my stomach. I will be back!! Self care will no longer be an after thought...
