Foster Falls Historic District — Local services in Virginia

Once an historic hotel and several other things, it's been nicely redone offering comfortable accommodations and well appointed rooms. Service was very good and staff friendly. With the New River trail out the door it offers lots to do for the actively inclined. It's been open less than a year now and there are some opportunities in the restaurant. Breakfasts are less than those offered in comparable chain hotels, and the dinner menu needs to be expanded... especially if you're staying more than one night. Overall it was a pleasant stay and...

Tony Vanoy & I were driving home to West Virginia on I-77 in Austinville, VA and decided to stop and check out the park. It cost $7 per car load fee but if you have handicap plaquard, it's free entrance. There is no waterfall, it's more of a rapid in the river.
