I went to this place Saturday afternoon with a picture of the couches I wanted. Upon arrival myself and my boyfriend were wearing masks and NONE of the staff were. This was uneasy to me but we asked about the couches I had pictures of and they did not have them. They said I was welcome to look in their showroom, so we did. As we entered you are allowed to touch and sit on anything in the showroom another sign I should have turned around and walked away. We looked and were persuaded to purchase a set even though it was not what we wanted. Before the 48 hour mark I call to speak with someone there and wanted to exchange the couches for some in a different color as again the ones we got were not what we really wanted. I was told that due to covid they do not take anything back. Then told if I want to cancel this order I can pay a restocking fee which would have come to over $400 dollars and they would take them back. (So if i pay and cancel they take them back even with covid, but not if i want to continue to do business with them) hmmmm sounds like a lie to me. From that point I ask to speak to the manager I am put on hold and kept on hold for close to 20 min. When I finally hung up the phone to call back for the next 40 minutes the line was off the hook and no manager ever cared to speak with me. Extremely unhappy with the service. The lady I first dealt with promised me same week delivery, had issues with that. They finally resolved it after calling them non stop. Once I recurved my bedroom set the bed was dirty!! And they did not have the night stand that came with the piece. I payed $90 for a delivery, when I didn’t even get the full piece and the bed was dirty (has stain marks). I called to talk to a manager and the “manger” Victor kept saying “keep in mind you are still getting your piece just later. When I came into the store to first purchase it the lady told me she had the FULL set and could have it delivered by the end of the week. I don’t have time to wait at home for them to deliver a second piece I should have gotten in the first place. The “manager” Victor kept saying we want to make you happy but did not show good customer service. I am actually a manger at a retail store so trust me I understand angry customers. But this is ridiculous. I should have gotten my $90 for the inconvenience of a dirty bed and not receiving my full set that I paid for. On top of all of this the bed is so springy i can hear the springs when I sit on it, definitely not the one I felt at the store. This customer service is the worst I’ve ever had. I walked in on my lunch hour. The sales associate at the counter did greet me as she was assisting another customer. I walked into the showroom at which time I said hello to the sales associate pacing around with her hands in her pockets. Not once did she approach me to ask if she could be of assistance. In fact, while I was browsing, at one point she sat on one of the couches on display, then proceeded to leave the showroom. Once I noticed that there was no one in sight to assist me, I chose to leave. As I was leaving the showroom into the sales room to leave the store, the associate was making her way back into the showroom. I tripped over the uneven portion of the floor between the entrance and showroom, which was covered by a carpet, therefore not easy to notice. As I tripped I did hold onto a vanity that was within my reach. I apologized but not once did either of the associates ask if I was ok or seemed very concerned that I could have injured myself. This is unfortunate for the store, I had two bedroom purchases that I was looking to make. Needless to say, I will not be doing business with Furniture and Home Design, nor will I recommend the store to anyone looking to purchase furniture.
