I grew up going here from 11-18 years old. Despite coming from a Christian school and a semi-Christian home, most of what I learned about God and the Bible at Sequoia. Here is where I was saved and later on baptized. The quaint church is full of sweet and friendly Christians. The music and worship is very conservative and consists mostly of a grand piano's accompaniment. Pastor's messages are Biblical, bold and uncompromising. This is a friendly Church where the Bible is preached, old fashioned hymns are sung, and the sinless life, sacrificial death, and glorious resurrection Of Jesus Christ is the core of the message you'll hear. Some places offer self-help, feel-good pep talks, lite on the truth, along with a rock concert.. but here, the focus is on God's Word, How to receive salvation and know it because the Bible says you can know it, and then how to walk with the Lord as a Christian should - which is what we all need to hear. I cannot speak for other people who have left comments, but I actually grew up in this church and school. Sequoia Baptist Church does not pretend to be something it's not just to get you in and get that 10%. This is a church led by a legitimate man of God.
