Sun N Sound — Local services in Vista

I called Sun n Sound looking to have an install done on my ford bronco. The owner claimed he had done work on many broncos before and that I was lucky I called him because they are complicated. What a nightmare ensued from here.

He recommended I install a mobridge amp, so he took a deposit to order the amp and I left my vehicle with him on a Thursday. He told me the vehicle would be done late Friday. He did not “finish” the vehicle until late Monday afternoon, so I was without my vehicle for 5 days.

When I got the vehicle back there were scratches on all my new trim panels, the vehicle was filthy with grease and wire clippings everywhere, and he had even stuffed the weather stripping underneath the panels in some areas. As I go to drive away, I notice a giant screw stuck in my tire from his filthy disgusting shop.

One day later, everything stopped working. So, I called mobridge directly, and Fraser from mobridge tells me the owner of sun n sound was calling him with issues , that he didn’t read the manual and missed cables.

I’m currently out a ton of money with a system that doesn’t work at all, my audio is worse than when I called this nightmare shop.

Beware of sun n sound, when you walk in you’ll see what I mean, the place is a total disaster and the owner will lie to you to make you think he’s the only one in vista who can install an audio system.

He had me spend a ton of extra money to purchase a literal plug n play amp that is designed specifically for ny vehicle, took 5 days to install it which he did completely wrong, then he balked and moaned when I asked him to take the equipment out and refund me since literally only my two front speakers work after leaving his shop.

The owner will talk a big game, but beware, the dude lives in his shop and it looks like a bad episode of hoarders in there. This guy doesn’t take pride in his work, which is wildly apparent when you see the place.

He may be having substance abuse issues, because he had good reviews, which I don’t understand at all given the state of my vehicle when he returned it.

I cannot recommend this shop to anyone, and hope anyone reading this will strongly consider going elsewhere if they want...

The man who runs this shop is awesome. Very reasonably priced and gets the job done quick. Very honest as well. I bought an after market head unit off Amazon that was NOT even close to plug and play. He advised me to buy one of his units instead as he guaranteed better quality and was about the same price. After telling him I wasn’t interested in his head unit he said he would still install my head unit even though he doesn’t recommend it. He installed it within one day and with the backup camera for a fair price as other shops quoted me more. When picking up the vehicle he said he was surprised by the quality of the head unit I bought as it is some sort of Chinese product but it still works well. I am very pleased with his kindness and his fast and reasonably priced service. I will say after my buddy got one of the devices installed in his truck that this guy recommended I would rather have that unit in my car as it has more features and looks nicer. It’s also very adjustable. So long story long. This guy is great and I recommend people go through him and not get scammed by other businesses who may rip you off or ONLY install what there familiar with.
