Completely unprofessional, would not recommend. We had a boat booked for the 4th of July. Due to COVID-19 and Austin shutting things down (bars, parks, boat ramps) our organizer inquired about what would happen if we were not able to go onto the boat due to the city shutting things down. Blake became annoyed by this, and stated that he would just refund our deposit as '(he) has 50 people a day offering me $250 an hour. I'm losing money with u guys". I guess Blake is unaware that when you commit to a booking you need to keep it, as if we were to back out we would have forfeited our deposit. Now he is complaining about how his current business model is losing him money during these times. That is NOT our problem. He clearly needs a lesson on how to run a business, in both how to treat customers and how to come up with a successful model.

EDIT - Response to Owner: That is a lie, you did not cancel due to being unable to take out the boat, you cancelled due to being offered more money even though we had already booked and put a deposit down!! Blake the owner is unresponsive and took our money despite flood and thunderstorm warnings. We booked a boat for Sunday evening 5 pm- 8 pm but there was a flood watch and thunderstorm warning with heavy rain in Austin on Sunday morning so people in our group were worried about conditions being unsafe with little kids in our group. We reached out to captain Abel since 5-6 hours before departure to tell him we might need to reschedule since people in our group were scared of the flood watch and thunderstorm warning with what happened recently in Texas. Captain Abel said the owner Blake might be able to let us reschedule but we need to talk to him directly. We left Blake 2 voicemails and multiple texts and called 7-8 times with him constantly not responding. Blake still hasn’t replied or responded and we paid $225 in advance deposit which I guess he is just keeping while ignoring our calls. All we wanted to do was reschedule to another day since thunderstorms and flood warnings during the ride time would’ve been a stressful boat trip. Not cool. ———————-

So I’ve been all over the world in boats and boating is my favorite past time! I even have my own ski boat on Lake Travis, ATX… LAKE LIFE is the absolute best company to use when you… 1. Need a bigger boat for parties, 2. Want to surf a sick wave or 3. If you simply don’t want to drive and just relax. I’ve used a few different boat rentals and Lake Life is my favorite. I’ve been out on their boats a dozen times now and every Captain has given me a top notch experience! The Captains are super fun and knowledgeable. Also, their vessels are the most luxury boats you see today. They know the Austin lakes inside and out. They’ll also read what kind of day you’re looking for and always deliver. So I call them for a leisure boat day, surfing day or a party day. If you want to learn how to wake surf/wakeboard CALL them! They provide great training and have the best boats to do it on. Also, I’ve had some of the best family outings with them. The vibe is always on point and the Captains will turn up the music as loud as you want. I’m giving them a solid 5 stars for costumer service, beautiful boats, great water sports coaching ability and all around fun times on the water! Happy...
