Dollar General — Local services in Volga Township

I’ve been shopping here since the day they opened and it used to be a GREAT experience. The other manager left and ever since it’s a nightmare! I was willing to wait for them to catch up knowing they were short staffed and such. But the new manager is rude. Several employees are nice enough but clearly overwhelmed. I tried for 2 days to just find out if they sell cream cheese. Nobody seems to even know! Shelves are always empty, store is dirty, customer service is just not an option anymore. We probably spend 200-300 a week there. But after asking an employee to assist me untangle 8 pairs of clearance shoes so I could buy some and being treated badly because of it?? The assistant manager that very rude to us after we told her someone was parking in a handicap spot with no handicap parking card or no license plate . Just because I told that customer she had no business parking there then the customer smart mouth teenage daughter got in my face and told I had business talking to her mom like that and told me I wasn't handicap.We never shop in the Dollar General Store in Volga,S D again after the way we were treated there. This is not the first time this has happened...

It's a Dollar General! Been to one, you've been to them all. That said, it is clean, the staff has always been helpful and friendly to me, and it is a nice addition to Volga. Especially good for popping in for the one or two small things you need but don't want to fight the crowds at the only 2 supermarkets...
