Subway — Restaurant in Volga Township

I was impressed by Volga's Subway and have many positive reasons to go back. We did find out that they will no longer be serving gluten free bread anymore which is sad. Please reconsider! See improvements below. Date was 2/20.

Positives: The restaurant is large with many tables and booths, plenty of room for a stroller, wheelchair, or a busy crowd. The staff was friendly even thanking us when we left. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. Food tasted well.

Opportunities to Improve: The young man wasn't amiable with my S.O.'s request on how she wanted the gluten free bread prepared. She wanted it toasted before the food was put on to keep the bread from crumbling. Microwaving it warms it up but soon after the bread crumbles. For those who are gluten free, they have it figured. One staffer was prepping our sandwiches and could be a little faster as my S.O.'s had been microwaved, against her request, and was getting cold after 3 minutes of sitting while the staffer prepped mine. I even suggested to the staffer she finish the first one. By the time mine was my S.O.'s was done I had mine re-microwaved to reheat it. Having all of the chairs upside down that are in the middle of the restaurant at 730 pm when they are open until 10 pm. The sign says 1030 pm but I was skeptical when I walked in and asked if they were still open. When you drive past you saw lights on and a lot of chair legs sticking up thinking they are closing/closed.
