I am 39 years old and have finally found a mattress that doesn't hurt my back or my whole body for that matter. I have always valued a good nights rest. Growing up as an athlete I knew early what the wrong mattress could do to your body and performance. The same holds true in the classroom, a good night's sleep is priceless. Now that I'm working long hours as a sales professional it has became even more of a concern for me. I was tired of waking up sore and no amount of stretching, exercising, or pills was working. I have terminal stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) which has moved into almost every bone in my body except for those in my hands and feet. I have the most severe lesioning (holes in the bone) in my ribs, in all but two vertebrae from the base of my skull to the end of my tailbone, and both scapula in my shoulders which makes sleeping in any position - stomach, sides, or back difficult at best.

In January my husband and I bought an Aslan Mattress. We were both nervous about doing so because of the expense and our inability to test one in person, but I was in too much pain to continue sleeping on our old mattress, so we took a leap of faith and placed our order. Almost a year later I can still tell you I've never slept better. I still wake up in pain due to cancer's continued progression, but I don't wake up with pinched nerves in my back and neck like I did on previous mattresses. In fact, I have not had that issue once since I started sleeping on our Aslan.

We're normally very cautious about making personal recommendations, but we've recommended Aslan to our friends and family. I don't usually write reviews, but I was so happy and impressed with how easy this experience was that I decided to. Earlier this year I realized that I had had the same mattress for the last 12 years, and while I didn't notice any particular problems I realized it was probably time for a new one. After researching and googling a lot of mattress companies, I bought a Queen-sized GEL memory foam mattress back in March from Aslan for $700 ($700!). It was delivered less than a week after, and it literally took minutes to set up. I have a job that's very physically active, and I always assumed that was what was causing my joint pain. It was a little embarrassing after a couple of nights on this new mattress to realize that no, it was not normal for a person in their late 20s to have constant hip and back pain, but was probably due to my 12-year old mattress. I no longer have to hobble out of bed. The mattress is crazy comfortable, and I constantly recommend Aslan to family and friends when they talk about purchasing new mattresses. I will say that some of the reviews that complain about the Aslan mattresses' "edge support" are right. It's really only an issue though if for some reason you sleep on the very edge of the mattress, which I don't. Between the insanely affordable price, the efficiency of the shipping and packaging, and the fact that it's 100% made in the USA I'm very happy with my choice, and I will definitely be buying from Aslan in the future....
