WOW ! What a fantastic hidden gem. We would've never known about it except we were hungry and this vacation we were only eating at smaller places no nationwide places and happened to be just a few miles away when we searched restaurants on Google. We didn't really see any signs or anything and it's location wasn't on my older GPS unit so we had to use the cell phones map directions. We were a bit surprised to see this is a floating restaurant...the walkway was kinda moving up and down making us laugh. Ordered the double cheeseburger with fries and the panko crusted cod sandwich. Holy $#&% the double hamburger was so thick there's no way I could get it in my mouth and I've got a BIG mouth ! Lol Each burger pattie was at least an inch thick and juicy. Easily in the top 3 of burgers I've ever had. Thick sliced perfect red tomato as well. We are from Michigan and don't see tomatoes like that on our burgers. The fries were thick cut as well. My wife had the panko cod sandwich and the piece of cod was twice as big as the bun ! Another perfectly done meal, flaky and cooked just right. Sure wish we lived nearby so we could be a weekly visitor ! Oh, service was outstanding as well. Highly...

She told us the side of the patio. As we pulled up, the owner came running out, yelling at us that someone else would be parking there and weād have to find somewhere else to park. It was obnoxious and so loud the entire patio heard, as if his goal was to embarrass us. I urged my husband to leave, but stayed to give it a chance at the request of my in-laws. As we pulled into a new spot, he then came running over there to yell at my 11 year old son over standing as we were trying to park our boat and about the fines we could receive (none of his business as far as Iām concerned). He made quite a scene over it all and made sure everyone could hear. The dining experience was nothing to brag about. Will definitely never go back. Rick is insanely rude and I am amazed to see any good reviews about this place. Go to Sequoyah... better food,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYeah, first come first serve seating, except if youāre a favorite of Rickās, in which case you can reserve a table and not actually show up for hours.
This is exactly the kind of establishment that is kept afloat (pun intended) by their regulars; they make newcomers feel extremely unwelcome. It is difficult to find a table, even for someone who has been coming for years.
Order a basket of fries as an appetizer for four people, and youāll wait at least an hour for it. It is usually crowded, so it will be extremely difficult to find your waitress and request drink refills, and good luck getting your check.
Also, the live music is usually underwhelming. Just older white men singing the same classic rock songs every week.
My family and I used to love Rickās Boat Dock. We used to come every weekend, but itās become more hassle than itās worth. Weāre really hoping it goes back to as good as...
