My wife and I are new to boat purchasing. Familiar with boats but thatās besides the point. We are in Nebraska and I am picky, so I searched the entire US for the brand we decided on. Mike Giannini from Harbortowne Marine must be the ultimate salesman. He was very easy going, never pushy, very factual, and the most upfront and honest on both + and -. I wanted an awesome stereo. I asked how it was and he flat out said āprobably not what you want to hear but it needs some attention. Needs A, B, and C and would be up to your specificationsā (the only negative btw) everything else check out. Very patient. When we are ready for a bigger boat my selection will be based off what he has available as he will be getting our business again! I was coming from almost 15 hours away and he met me around 10:30pm after hours to get the deal done so I could start my return trip. Definitely above and beyond the call of duty! Thank Mike! The kids love it and we are very happy with it. (btw I did A, B, and C and the sound system is fantastic!) Sincerely,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointing experience. Job consisted of installing high water alarm, fume detector, battery charger; checking A/C electrical system for stray wire and testing receptacles; and, installing windlass and new anchor system for rocky bottom. General Manager, employed at Harbortowne for about a year, was too busy to meet with boat owner, pursued issues not necessary to the project and was not knowledgeable about parts to be installed. Numerous credibility issues. In the end, Capstan winch installed instead of windlass, anchor system inadequate for rocky bottom (seven pound Fortress anchor without chain for 4,000 pound boat), existing battery monitor disabled, a/c electrical system not checked and bow roller not installed. Yard offered no response to failed projects. Yard refused to produce time records to justify billing. Because of owner dissatisfaction with experience, labor bill supposedly reduced, however this could not be verified without time records. Never met or spoke with owner...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWeather I'm hauling a pontoon boat or a half million dollar brand new sea ray for a sea ray executive, Im only as good as the crews I work with . When we're on tight schedules, I've found Harbortowne to be run like clockwork. Even after I'm loaded, staff will stop by when I'm securing the vessels for OTR transport and ask if I need anything or is there anything they can do to assist . This is what separates the average to superior service. Everyone from lift operators to management is on game from start to finish. Inland marinas rarely score as high on my list as some of the best coastal ones, these guys are pros that know how to handle vessels of all types and deserve the...
