Oakwood Cemetery — Local services in Waco

The owners gave my parents’ permission to put a bench out on my grandmother’s plot with regulated specs to follow, and once it was finished the gardener of the grounds helped set it up. Everything was good for months until apparently the owners found the handmade marble bench and thought it didn’t meet specs, and with no word to my parents they just ripped it out of the ground and left it for my mom to find today when she went to lay flowers out– the day before Christmas. These folks lack some decorum because when she called upset they were not only rude, they proceeded to tell her she had to have a permit to have a bench out there (something not mentioned the first go around), and on top of that needs to buy (not make) another one that meets specs – in total it’s going to be about $600 out of pocket. At first they came across as so caring and compassionate. Once they mad they sale and mom wA buried everything changed. They lied and disrespected her grave and when I posted about it on Facebook, I found out many others have also been lied to as well. Stay away from this plane and these people. They left moms have looking like a ditch on the side of the road full of puddles of water . Very sad when the cemetery workers have no compassion for people who lost love ones. May God...

Buried my dad here this week and it was a disaster. My family couldn’t find where the site was so they called my mom. They told her they would put signs up to help and they did not deliver on that. I called the front office and she was useless. They make everything about money the entire time your there.
