RJ Bargain Center — Local services in Waco

Only buy what you need and becareful to spend the money that you are willing to lose. This place is not about customer service. Attempted to return a gas line I did not need and ask about why the left pilot that will not light on the stove I purchase less then two weeks ago...note the pilot did not work on the day of purchase. So sad RJ is greedy over a few dollars. I personally needed a refrigerator, plus construction supplies and random applicienses such as stoves, washers, and dryers for painting and remodels. I guess RJ did not desire future buiness. Thankfully RJ is not the only discount place to find what you need. Also, I can find applicienses that work 100% at the same or better prices elsewhere unlike the gas stove RJ sold me. The gas stove RJ sold me does Not have all the burners working due to the left pilot won't work and the knob to the oven does not tell you what temperature you are setting the oven, so baking is like Russian roulette. Also, the seal on the oven is bad. Since I did buy used I wanted advice how to repair the pilot and the seal on the oven. We never got past RJ refusing to refund my money for the new gas line that was never used. Buy at RJ at your own risk don't expect customer service when the item is not working or you bought something you did not need. RJ knew the stove had a gas line yet he only cared about the one time sell. He would had made so much more money if he had just been honest about the gas stove not needing a gas line or simply returned the gas line with a smile. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

They promised a delivery date for a refrigerator we purchased. They ddn't keep the scheduled day or contacted us to let us know it would be the next day. We cleaned out our fridge and put our groceries in ice chest. WE had to call to find out when they were coming, which was now going to be the next day. So we stayed home all day and put our groceries in ice chests for nothing. They finally deliver the following day, and the delivery person tells us that it will take 24 hours to get cold and freeze. The following day after delivery, we had had a family emergency and had to leave out of town for 2 days. When we returned, the refrigerator is HOT! Needless to say, our food was ruined. The next morning we had to go to the store and explain to them what happened. They offered to set up a service ticket because it was still under warranty as well as look for another refrigerator for us. They also promised to keep us posted on the service ticket and the replacement fridge. Of course they didn't. We had to call twice and still no update. I called the following morning, and was yelled at and hung up on twice. They told me to bring the fridge back (they delivered it for a reason, we don't have a truck) and they would refund.

Don't be fooled by the location or building. Rj's sells new appliances from major companies that range from premium to budget. True, it may have some cosmetic imperfections but on the majority of items it isn't noticeable. I needed a new washer and looked at all three big box hardware and the electronics store and I was resigned to pay around 898.00 for the washer I wanted. On a whim I stopped by RJ's.
