I think it’s absolutely horrible which shows that Goodwill doesn’t really mean Goodwill anymore closing down the Harker Heights outlet. It truly served a community especially an extreme amount of military personnel. We have a lot of homeless people around here hidden veterans mostly who are being kicked out of their homes because illegal immigrants need a place to stay instead of those who served our country the United States of America if you’re wondering what I’m talking about shame on goodwill for shutting this down, being greedy to drive people to go to Waco, Texas, they don’t have the gas money. Have you seen the prices shame on the leader of the goodwill of this Districk is it hard to Texas or central Texas? I don’t know goodwill has truly lost its meaning. I couldn’t be more upset for the people of Harker Heights, killeen, Copperas Cove, even a Temple , I have shopped there continuously for the last 10 years I’m an elementary teacher and I would purchase jackets because 60% of the elementary schools in KISD are free or reduced lunches. We have so many children without appropriate clothing and jackets when it gets cold. I can’t drive to Waco gas prices or to Austin which I prefer last time I went to the Waco bins. It was disgusting nasty broken glass trash. I was told they remodeled the Waco outlet center. I don’t care bring back Harker Heights outlet. You took something away for the community that was really making a difference. Shame on you you greedy, greedy, greedy, greedy, greedy, greedy, people, the people the corporate people. you pay the employees next to nothing and you wonder why you have nobody that wants to work. They can make $18 an hour at McDonald’s or Burger King any fast food place are you only want to pay them $10-$11 an hour to process clothing bring out the bands run the store. It’s unreasonable when the corporate industry running the facility is making 100×1,000,000 times over that. Goodwill does not stand for Goodwill anymore. I have not donated to Goodwill the last 10 years because of the way they have changed their ethics. I recently saw a YouTube video where they were talking to one of the corporate uppers from Waco about how high the prices of come. The statement this corporate individual said well we have to compete with Walmart. What quote are you kidding me. I donate to either any local clothes, closet, women’s shelter, Salvation Army, etc. I urge each and every individual that used to shop at the Goodwill bins in Harker Heights, not to donate to Goodwill any more. Their prices are out of this world, and they get the items for free. Items not sold at the bins. Don’t go to the landfill. They box them up in the dark in a crates and sell them overseas to Africa, Mexico, or anybody who wants to purchase one. Greed has taken over the goodwill. They have lost sight of their mission I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever donate anything to Goodwill. I’m also asking you people that lived around in Harker Heights Texas to do the same. God bless and have a...
Read moreLove love LOVE! This place is great because it's cheap they price everything by the pound so I can get a lot of stuff for very cheap and it is a real bang for your buck if you know I'm saying. You do have to dig through the bins some people wear gloves but that's for amateurs. I'm a pro I guess. Whatever. I put hand sanitizer on my hands afterwards so I guess that makes me a pro. I don't mind touching gross clothes cuz I can find some cool stuff sometimes. I like denim and this is a good place to get denim fabric and denim clothing items. I one time got a jean curtain which I call a "Jurtain". I thought one time that they were closing down the Goodwill and I literally almost cried cuz this was like my favorite place it's like the only place that I can get like good cheap stuff and especially like fabric to make other stuff cuz I'm a big sower. But they were not closing they were just remodeling but you can still go inside which is great. We went there the other day and there was a very nice guy who had a cool shirt that had a tiger a lion and a bear on it and he was very nice and very charismatic and very funny. The people you meet there are always very interesting you never know who you're...
Read moreThere are 2 beautiful and friendly African American ladies who work here in the Retail store part ... Not the big building next door, and these 2 ladies are Sooo friendly! ! Every time I come in, they help me, they are kind, They even help me if I'm having a bad day, and just need to talk for 30 seconds.... I dont know if these ladies are in Management, there or not, but some company is probably gonna scoop them up and take them, Because they are doing a Phenomenal job there. I've seen men, and women...and children come in, and those ladies treat EVERYONE good! They answer questions, work hard, don't mess around, don't gossip or play on their phone. Do you have any idea how rare that is ? Whoa! Someone give these ladies a raise! Well done ladies! And well done Goodwill! I dont really like the remodeled Goodwill Store in Hewitt Tx No parking, no handicapped parking, Trouble accessing the front door, prices too high, selection too low. :( But I will keep returning to THIS GOODWILL on Waco Dr. in Waco, for all my things I need. ...
