My shopping experience here was nice until I asked for compensation for an expired product. After the bride and groom spent nearly $300 on candy for a wedding I was planning, I was told they'd receive an in-store credit for half the amount purchased (definitely should have been a full refund), and upon redeeming that credit, the Wakarusa Dime Store tried to cut the amount promised in half. After explaining the issue to the cashier, she argued, and told me that what I was promised didn't make any sense. I love the nostalgic variety of candy they carry, if only the prices weren't so extremely ridiculous. Some of the products are readily available in other stores for about a dollar, but the price there is at least 3-4 times as much. **Reply to owner - you could but Neco wafers or gummy worms at dollar general and re-sell them for a reasonable price. It would be really nice to have a few items available for a more reasonable price, so that people with a lower income could bring her children to the candy store for that experience, and be able to buy them a couple pieces each without...

Super cute shop in small town Indiana. There was so so much to choose from including delicious taffy in EVERY flavor, jelly bellies like crazy and rows and rows of things you've never seem before. Including bug candy?! Jumbo Smarties, all sizes suckers...my four children were in true heaven.
