I had a fantastic experience buying my new 2021 Vexus AVX 1980 aluminum bass boat from In Tune Marine! Brian, Aaron, and Sara went out of their way and spent an inordinate amount of time answering every question I had about the new boat, trailer, trolling motor, outboard, and new marine electronics. I want to personally thank Brian and Aaron who spent a collective 12 hours helping me understand the state-of-the-art technology that goes into each new Vexus boat and both of them were committed to sharing their knowledge and experience with me.
A special acknowledgement to Brian who was the first boat salesperson in my 27 years of boat ownership to ever ask me how I like to fish. This may sound like simple question, instead; it is a activity of almost infinite complexity as no two bass anglers in the Northwoods fishes exactly the same. I’m partial to smallmouth bass fishing and this species of gamefish is very different from the more common largemouth bass. In our first discussion, Brian spent over four hours listening to how I like to fish for smallmouth bass in small rivers and flowages (impoundments) in NW Wisconsin and if he didn’t know the answer to my question, he contacted someone who could answer my questions instead of feeding me the BS junk so common in today’s world. Thank you, Brian for being an honest boat salesperson and an around great guy and new friend!
Aaron was gracious enough to spend two hours the day I picked up my new Vexus bass boat and we spent all of the time on the water actually running the boat so I could learn about everything needed to run the boat and how each function of the boat is performed. It’s also the first time I ever was in a boat that could do donuts at 50mph! Another key learning moment for me was when we turned on the Lowrance Active Target forward looking sonar and both of us were astounded by the clarity of seeing crappie and bass relating to a single cluster of weeds on the spine of a rocky point extending into deep water. Did I mention that Aaron was kind enough to take my new boat out on the water the day before I picked it up and spent several hours configuring the new Lowrance HDS Live units and generally getting the boat ready to fish out of and for me to take home? Thank you, Aaron, for your great support and assistance!
Last, but certainly not least, I admit to being a bit apprehensive about completing all the necessary paperwork for the new boat purchase. In my previous seven boat purchasing events, this particular aspect of the process was always tedious and very unpleasant with a great deal of stress. I was amazingly surprised and happy to find out that Sara at In Tune Marine had already handled the tedious nature of the paperwork process itself and I only had to sign four pieces of paperwork before she handed me the 21-day permit for the boat and trailer before this information arrived from the Minnesota DMV, so I could use my new boat right away without any stress from the paperwork that is so common these days. Thank you, Sara for making the admirative quagmire effortless for me with the new boat purchase!
In short, buy your next boat from In Tune Marine and they will treat you...
Read moreIn-Tune Marine updated the power to my (3) Humminbird Solix Gen3 displays and Mega 360 with a Powerhouse Lithium 16 volt battery in my 2018 Ranger 621. They also installed a Run&Gun charging system. I just used my sonars for the first time and WOW! I now have images on my sonars like on the Humminbird website! Goodbye interference on the screen and not displaying fish on side and down imaging. The images are crystal clear on a vivid, bright screens. I could not be happier with the result.
Not only was the result great, my experience with the staff at In-Tune was the best I've ever had. My service advisor Jaden initially took my call. I explained I had seen one of their YouTube videos on how they rig boats with 16 volt clean power for the sonars and was impressed. Jaden patiently interviewed me to understand what equipment I have, the symptoms I was experiencing and what my goal was. He made me confident so I scheduled an appointment to make the upgrade. I drove 5 hours from Iowa to In-Tune's MN facility. Upon arrival, Jaden and technician Loren met with me for 30 minutes to review every detail of the work they proposed. Jaden had previously ordered the parts and everything was ready to go. My boat went into the service department immediately and was done the next day. When I picked my boat up, I learned that both Jaden and Loren has taken my boat to a nearby lake to test everything to confirm it was working perfectly. When they returned to the dealership, they had my boat cleaned up and wiped down from the on the water test. That meant a lot to me. My boat is in perfect condition and gets wiped down every time I use it. Both Jaden and Loren again met with me to review the work that was done. Loren helped me load the smart phone app for the BlueTooth PowerHouse Lithium battery and showed me how to use it. It is awesome - I can monitor the battery's analytics and know exactly everything about it when in use. Loren explained in detail how the Run&Gun charging system works. He showed me how he neatly cabled everything and neatly labeled my power leads so it is evident what they are.
Lastly, I needed an appraisal for a new insurance company I switched to. Jaden introduced me to their sales manager TJ who did a thorough examination of my boat and drafted a formal valuation that I could send to my new insurance company. TJ's time and the valuation were complimentary. I was told they appreciate my business.
In-Tune Marine was not only the best marine dealer experience I've ever had, it may have been the best service I've ever received. This was an absolutely red carpet experience. I've already told 3 of my fishing friends about In-Tune Marine and they both plan to make the drive from Iowa. One of them is interested in a new boat and the other 2 are simply planning to go there for service. Why drive 5 hours for marine service? Because I want to be treated like an appreciated customer and I want the work done right the first time. I have to be 100% confident my boat is ready and reliable when I drive into remote areas of Ontario and for other long distance trips to the Great Lakes.
I highly recommend...
Read moreAbout 2 years ago my wife and I started researching our next boat. We have been blessed to have Andy at Team Marine Service in La Crosse WI as our friend providing everything we could ask for in taking care of our Ranger for the last 17 years. We asked Andy to essentially pick our new multi species boat. We keep our boat at a lake home 3 hours away from La Crosse but he’s the only one we want to work on our boat. So Andy knew we wanted something that would run well for a long long time. He said we should go with Vexus and power it with a Suzuki and we wouldn’t see him much in the shop and we’d have the best. We then went to Flippin and took a tour of the amazing Vexus factory. While on our tour Randy Hopper came to greet us and then we met Keith Daffron. Keith spent at least an hour with us and designed our boat. What an incredible experience with quality people!!! We researched dealerships across the Midwest and it was blatantly obvious where we needed to order our boat. I had watched hours of YouTube videos researching Vexus and then one evening after my wife was in bed, I watched a YouTube video by Brian Bengston on delivering a customer there Vexus DVX. I won’t forget watching it, he was intent on making certain ALL the little and big things worked when you picked up your boat from In Tune Marine. My wife was not so impressed when I woke her to share that I found the guy (Brian) and the dealership (In Tune Marine) where we were going to buy our Vexus. The next day she said there’s got to be 5 dealerships closer to us. I said just watch the video. She did and agreed it was In Tune and Brian. We had our Vexus DVX 20S delivered in October 2024. We listened to Brian when he recommended adding a few options we were not considering. We also listened when he suggested a few options we considered weren’t probably necessary. His honesty and product knowledge made the experience totally enjoyable. We were planning on trading our boat in for simplicity sake but about 2 hours into our trip home after ordering the DVX we got a phone call. It was a guy that stopped into In Tune Marine just after we left. He was looking for a boat like ours. Brian said, the boat you want just left but they might sell it to you. Talk about selfless, we ended up coming out ahead selling our boat to him. Not to mention In Tune Marine certainly lost a sale that day. We have had an incredible experience and couldn’t be happier. There’s not enough positive feedback we could ever give.. In Tune Marine, Brian Bengston, Keith Daffron and Vexus with a Suzuki!!! May God...
