The proposal of this mine is a disgrace to God himself and all of the natural beauty he created that should be preserved and cherished in the UP and all surrounding areas. Every facet of the environment for miles and miles from the point of this proposed mine would certainly be polluted, exploited and destroyed by a foreign company! And whatever jobs it could bring would be short lasting given its inevitable closure, and the toxic waste produced would last FOREVER left in basins on the project land that can be seen from space, with no hope of restoration or ecologically safe disposal - which is exactly what happened with the White Pine North mine and mill site that was closed due to contamination concerns and they are proposing to reopen it!! We need more mindful long lasting environmental jobs, NOT short lived jobs of environmental destruction. The sacred spaces we have left on this planet are rapidly dwindling - we cannot let this happen to the wild north! Hundreds of Thousands of people (and probably more) depend on this region for survival!!! The clean waterways and, so far, minimally tainted soils help farmers and independent families grow healthy crops and raise animals that then go on to feed and nourish all people in the surrounding regions. God intended for humans to be stewards to the land. He provided us with enough resources to last long past our time here as long as we use sustainable practices and care for the land responsibly - we must fight off the greed of large foreign and American companies who do not care for our people or our land!!!! Not to mention the thousands+ of people who come to the area for fishing, hunting, and wildernesses recreation that brings necessary tourist revenue and jobs to the region, which would certainly diminish as the lands themself do under the proposed Copperwood mine project.

Also worth mentioning that the few good reviews on this page seem to be people who have been paid by the corporation to leave such reviews under the guise of “local guides” - and to leave multiple reviews from the same person under different emails. - I’m looking at you Andrew Olsen. - We cannot let them get away with these devilish tactics they will continue to use in attempt to gain our trust before they turn their back on us.

We the people are bigger than these greedy corporations who want to steal all our resources and leave us with the mess. And we have the duty to stand up to them and put an end to this abuse while we still can.
