Zeppelins Good Eats — Restaurant in Wakefield

My wife and I went to eat at Zeppelins on a Tuesday afternoon in September after spending the day hiking around the area waterfalls. I had been eager to try this new eatery in Wakefield since hearing that it had opened up at the beginning of the summer. The atmosphere is warm. The eclectic design has a welcoming feel, inviting one to relax and enjoy the delicious food they prepare. You order from a counter towards the back of the store and find a seat to wait for your meal. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! We ordered a medium Detroit style pizza, and while it seemed to be the perfect amount for two hungry adults who have been out hiking and enjoying the area, I think if I could change anything about our visit, I would have ordered a large pizza so we could have had some to bring home for later! The pizza was definitely unique, cooked in a square pan, with a thicker dough crust and sauce on the top. It was cooked to perfection, easily one of my favorite pizzas in the area! The crust was crisp on the bottom but fluffy inside, the cheese was flavorful, and that sauce tasted fresh and really tied the whole meal together.

The whole experience at Zeppelins was great! We will be back, and we will be telling others about this new gem in Wakefield!

For being in a small town in upper MI, this place is AWESOME. The atmosphere is cozy and a bit unassuming, it’s definitely better than a diner, but also not a wine bar. Keep in mind, this area is very basic, so this place stands out at being exceptional.

Now… the food. YUMMY. When I travel up to Wakefield, I not only get lunch, but I take an order to go so I don’t have to cook while I am working or playing. The menu has a great selection of fresh, flavorful, and unique to the area, items. I have not been disappointed in the 10+ times I’ve ordered from Zeppelin’s.

I was fortunate to try their newly launched Detroit style pizzas and had a pepperoni with maple syrup and even added a maple syrup shake, both were SO good after a day of hard work on my vacation rental.

I can confidently say that I will return to Zeppelin’s again, as I have already done...

If you're a a year round resident or visitor this is a must stop- Zeppelins Just does it ALL correct! I Wish I would have taken some pictures of the food but it all went down so fast. The Ribs are super tender and their bbq sauce is made from scratch and the taste is unique and balanced flavor;(not too sweet, not too tangy and not Smokey) they were literally just getting finished as we arrived at opening when we came in at 11 and they came out piping hot.

The homemade corned beef & kraut on the Larry sandwich is out of this world amazing toooed with the their dressing & Swiss on grilled rye...it's really one of the best Reuben sandwiches I've ever had anywhere.
