Handmade, cheap, amateur and a waste of time, driving and money!
We drove from PG County to the hunted house which took 45mins (38.73miles) with no traffic. We left at 8:46pm (per Waze). We arrived there at 9:31pm (estimated). We left there at 10:25pm (per Waze). This included arriving with already purchased tickets from Groupon, waiting in a short line, getting the tickets scanned and receiving a paper bracelet. We then walked to the actual line (non-fast pass) and there was an hour and a half long wait. A lot of people started walking back to the front to purchase the fast pass for an addition $10. When we found out about the wait and the fast pass, we got out of line (probably after 10mins) and went and got a fast pass then got in the fast pass line. Our wait in the fast pass line was probably about 5-10mins long. According to my friend (not sure if she is accurate), she states it says both attractions total to 30mins. Again, I would say we finished in 20min or so, about 10mins a piece.
Off-topic comment: While waiting in the fast pass line, they had someone dressed up as Michael Myers. I really wanted a picture with him. I asked him can I take a picture and tried to take a selfie with the front camera but the flash would not take for some reason. Instead of waiting for a second, he acted like he wanted to walk off so I asked if he could just come back in a second when my friends came so they could use their phone. He just tilted his head and looked at me. (Not sure if he was just playing into the Michael Myers character or being rude) I made a joke saying he was my favorite horror character and he walked off. My friends came and he was only about four people behind us. He took pictures with other people and after we kept calling his name to come back but he ignored us. I asked security if he could ask him to come over and was told: "I have no way of doing that". It's messed up that he couldn't even come back and take a picture with someone with a fast pass.
We went into the first hunted house and it was literally a 2-5min walk. The scenery was very cheap and there were about 4-5 people that jumped out. (They are not allowed to touch you) The second hunted house was the same, there was more walking than people jumping out. We all were VERY disappointed and shocked at how short and expensive it was for all of that. If you are taking your kids and want something amateur/thrown together by the local police/fire department, this is a good choice. But if you are over the age of 21 and plan to go with a group of friends hoping for a lit time, invest in the more expensive/larger hunted houses such as Field of Screams or Markoff. Even the Laurel Hunted house has them beat. Again very disappointing and a waste of money. Also, it is not an actual trail. It is literally wooden walls put up with some party city decorations. Again, it may be cute for kids...
Read moreBefore you even get into the line for the haunted trail, you’re surrounded by scary scenes that make for great pictures! I got an awful one next to the Nun…because I wasn’t sure if it was a real person or not so I kept my distance. While we waited in line to get into the haunt, there were a couple characters scaring patrons….and doing a great job! My heart was beating before I ever set foot inside the haunted trail. And once I did….I was not disappointed! The very first asylum room had a panicked patient with the most terrifying scream! It sent chills through my veins! Every room was like this! Horrifying characters crawling out from under tables and imploring us to look at their broken dolls. A goat headed satanic figure that menacingly stood right behind us. Body parts and organ in bowls. The end had a couple of chainsaws that looked, smelled and sounded like the real thing. We were horrified! I thought when I bought the tickets I would get to go into one of the three trails, but one ticket covered all three! The Asylum, the farmhouse, and the barn. It was AWESOME! My 11-year old twins were worried it would be too scary…but it wasn’t…they had a great time! My daughter got so scared she dropped her phone in the trail. The employees were quick to help and it turned out the goat headed Satan found the phone when he scared the life out of us and he set it aside knowing it would be looked for. The whole experience was great! The cost, the wait in line, the trail itself, the kind employees, the terrifying scare actors. I 100% cannot wait...
Read moreInteresting experience to say the least. Arrived early Fri. night to witness the entire staff being reamed by not sure who? It looked like certain actors were being targeted for “not being scary enough.” Ok. After passing away from a rare disease called terminal second hand embarrassment and becoming the 1,000th happy haunt - oops, wrong attraction - I got to experience the trail. It was great. The actors were awesome. Which was great because the statues scattered throughout have seen their best days already. Set looked creepy in the dark. Shoutout to the witches who almost made me pee my pants. The women were getting it done! My friends always say that the area needs different kinds of seasonal events. This is one! If you’re bored of the same corn maze and hay ride, check this out. Love the pass that allows you to enter as many times as you want/can. If you’re a horror fan, you’ll want to go back to catch all the details and skits the scarers put together. 9/10 because the screaming needs to be kept inside...
