James E. Richmond Science Center — Local services in Waldorf

We just got back from a field trip there and it was a wonderful experience. First off, I'd certainly like to thank every worker there...we were a class that included special needs preschoolers and some of them did jot want to do anything hut walk around the cafeteria. They were not only fine with that but they provided toys, were extremely patient and caring. And the exhibits were super cool! The planetarium had fun visuals for the kids, the spare transformed from the earth. To a giant baby shark shark and then to a disco ball with fun dancing. Charles County, Maryland has a secret weapon- a resource center for students and teachers alike! The James E Richmond Science Center is even open to the public on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. It is a geography student's dream with an interactive Science on the Sphere that can project all kinds of global images representing a variety of geographic information.
