Nittany Meats is how butcher shops use to be in generations past. Most supermarkets do not cut their own meat at individual stores. They usually have a central distribution center that cuts and packages the meat, so your meat is at least one day old before its put in refrigerated cases in the store. At Nittany Meats, what you buy there each day was cut that morning. Special Orders can be handed during the course of the day if you don't mind waiting until they cut it. I have found the meats are every bit as good or better than large supermarket stores and Nittany Meats prices are lower than large supermarket prices.
