been shopping at Blaines Jewelry Box for over 3 years and spent around $25,000 total on all of my jewelry and $17,000 of that was in the last 9 months. I recently questioned the price of the pieces I’ve bought when I was inquiring about the total worth of all of my jewelry. When I went in and asked for a total, I was told I paid about $10k-$11k. I was extremely shocked because I spent $18,500 on what I was wearing that day. Since I was so shocked and confused, I asked what if I was going to sell it right now and they told me I would get about $5,000. I’ve bought a gold diamond bracelet which I paid $6,000 for, a gold chain with a custom cross including diamonds that I paid $5,000 for, 2 gold rings with diamonds totaling $6,000 and a gold diamond cross and wedding band for my wife totaling $3,000 I was overcharged double and even triple based on what other jewelers priced my pieces for before I even mentioned the prices that I paid. I went to numerous jewelers in NJ and 3 others in NY and was given a significantly lower price on those same pieces. I was told I’ve been “robbed” with the money I spent on all of that. I was recently interested in another gold diamond bracelet at Blaines and inquired about the price and was told it cost $9,000 when other jewelers were selling the same bracelet for around an average price of $6,000. I was very confused by the $9,000 price from Blaines so I started to ask them why one of my pieces was the price that it was and I couldn’t get a straight answer. The owner tried explaining that “oh it has to do with the setting and how the diamonds are placed” but that isn’t a valid answer. After going to a few other jewelers and getting other prices, I then went back and asked Blaine’s about my diamond ring which cost me $4,200 with no questions asked because I trusted them. They kept dancing around and not giving me a definitive answer on why I paid that price. Don’t get me wrong, the workers at Blaines are very nice and treat you like family but unfortunately, they took that to their advantage and overcharged one of their best customers and thought I would never notice which in result has forced me to shop elsewhere. I have been going to this family owned jewelry store for more than 20 years Gary Blaine was and still is one of the best jewelry's I have ever been able to trust 100%or more he and his family do all repairs on premises which is not easy to find. The entire family wife children and himself talk with you as if you are family and make you comfortable everytime you enter there establishment. Just to show how trust worthy they are I put a 13 dollar deposit on a piece of jewelry atleast 1yr or longer ago not only did they have and honored my tiny deposit they also repaired my wedding band and engagement ring called months ago to say it was completed , I said I would be there to pick it up ended up having a few medical issues couldn't get there and yet my beautiful rings and my beautiful cross (which by the way means the world to me) where rt there done cleaned and beautifully shining. Had I mention my rings are one of a kind Gary the owner mabe them for me and a matching wedding band for my husband and destroyed the mold so I know that no one in this state county and country will ever have my wedding ensambles! Blaine's has been an absolute staple in the community for as long as they've been around. He and his wonderful family do an excellent job advising and servicing their clients, and their restoration work is top notch.

My fiancee and I purchased a delicate estate engagement ring that we fell in love with, and it was Blaine who gave it the love that it needed to make sure it lasts for a long time. He even took pictures of the restoration and sent it to me to make sure we were comfortable and happy with the outcome.

We love Blaine and I'm happy to have them be our go to for years to come.
