The Wallace Gem — Local services in Wallace

We stayed here for 3 nights with our family of 6 (4 kiddos). Gaining access to the house was easy enough, although it had snowed a a few inches and there was no way to not track some snow in, and there was no entrance rug or anything. It would be more ideal to be able to access the rear patio entrance, especially in the winter. Location is great. Very close to town. Walked it a couple times, also drove it a couple times. The home overall is a very old home that has been remodeling nicely, but still elements of a house that needs a little work.. like a door latch in the bathroom that doesn’t secure the door well (probably needs a new door) fence gates that don’t latch, push button lights in the upstairs closets instead of wired lights that had dead batteries, wobbly furniture (all ikea grade), some older pots/pans that should have been cycled out already. Lots of other pros though, including fresh cupcakes on arrival, the mattresses and bedding were very comfortable, box fans were provided, TV’s and internet worked well, and the hot tub was a great treat. Communication was hands down, very easy and not an issue whatsoever. Probably a little on the pricier side for the holiday weekend that we booked, but no regrets, we enjoyed it. This Wallace property delivers an excellent stay, thanks to its prime location. It's close enough to the freeway for convenience but far enough to avoid any traffic noise, offering peace and quiet. Just a two-minute drive from downtown, its location is ideal. The house has been recently renovated, with a fully-equipped kitchen that includes all necessary amenities for cooking, a big plus for families. It's rare to find a rental stocked with essentials like olive oil, seasonings, and tin foil, which this house provides. Cleanliness is a priority here, with no issues like hair in the tub or dirty bathrooms. TVs in each room and a hot tub provide relaxation and entertainment after a day out. The neighborhood is quiet, enhancing the stay. Communication with the host was easy and efficient, making both check-in and checkout smooth processes. Our stay at the Wallace Gem was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities truly made this space special. The home was sparkling clean and fully furnished. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the cozy living area was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Wallace and the Silver Valley. One thing that stood out was the thoughtfulness of the host. Fresh baked cookies and pastries were left along with a personalized note welcoming all of us!
